IT"S A TRAP-advanced(kinda) engineering part tree

    Advanced Engineering Part Three

    Well, for advanced engineering part three, I felt I must put in something april foolsday-ish inside, thus this weeks Engineering session is about... traps. I can't really call this advanced, mainly because these were made just to show the trappy theme.

    The first few traps for this session, are just switches, that launch massive crates into the face of master chief. Simple, yet funny as hell to watch someone get hit by...

    This first trappy engineer mischievious thinga-ma-bob launcher is meant to look like a common elevator, only this elevator might be a bit to strong... Create them by putting a man cannon below, pointing upwards, then intersect a crate partway into the man cannon, and put a power-up on top of the crate. Once the power-up is taken, the crate is unlocked, launching upwards at an incredible speed.

    I even made a crate catching device, so the bloody evidence wouldnt be seen by those around you!

    These power-up crate launching doomsday devices can be created going any way you desire, baiting the power up as camo or with a weapon underneath makes it twice the fun.

    Next, this is a very basic concept with teleporters, that is used on many different maps, but it sure is an effective method. Making a teleporter launch you into a death barrier.
    Just glitch out of the map via any method shown in the forging 101 (click here for methods), then put a teleporter facing the death zone right on the line between death and life. Finally, to make sure the person dies everytime, put a gravlift or man cannon behind the teleporter. Now, whenever anyone goes through the certain teleporter, it means instant death.

    Now, on to le fusion coil methods.
    First, I'll show the quick trap/fusion coil dropper I made on Uproar, which was posted in an earlier edition, then I'll go onto the more elaborate plot and scheme.

    This was already shown on my earlier Advanced engineering page here.

    This is a basic fusion coil chain, that goes up, over, and destroys and grav-lift, dropping fusion coils onto the bases flag stands.

    This method works most of the time, and is fairly simple to make, I reccomend it to anyone who wants to try their hand at making the new generation-type maps.

    Next, saving the best for last, is my omg-camo propane tank doom explosion-thing. Ive made the walls out of fencing and shield doors, mainly so you can see what is happening. Normally, a wall would conceal this and make it much better as a trap. The Active camo is partly inside the wall, so it goes through the wall, just a tiny bit, and holds up a fusion coil. Once the Active camo is taken, the fusion coil drops-detonation occurs, and the chain is started. The chain passes through the wall and heads up to the top of the box-wall, igniting the propane tanks, letting doom occur. My favorite thing about this trap, is the fact that you can make the explosions cover the entire floor of foundry, and you can make the explosions happen wherever you want.

    as mention earlier, these aren't neccesarily advanced, but made to fit the april fools theme. If anyone has any traps or anything to say about this then go right ahead! The trap doesn't have to be classified as engineering, but try not to post the same thing as above. If anyone has a suggestion about what to make the future advanced engineering about, then please, pleeeaasseee tell me, otherwise im going to have to come up with something, that may not interest some of you. Also, I realize some simple traps werent up here, but that is because they are simple. I was trying to keep to the engineering feel, and yes,I know the teleporter trap wasn't Engineering at all.

    Intruiging. I like the first concept. It could be used to make an "Indinana Jones" style map. Putting alot of those horizontal, in rows, and having to run down without them firing at you. Would be funny.

    I thought of that, and I was trying to substitute the crate for lots of street cones XD
