ISLAND Map Description . This is a new kind of map that I thought of, unless if anyone else thought of it before me. Basically, it's a island that is surrounded by two bases and land that also has under ground tunnels below the surrounding land. The ground floor of foundry is to be considered the "water", however, shield doors would have ruined my next idea... boats! the warthog is now a boat, which I will explain in the gametype later. In this symmetrical map, there are two "boats", two bases, one island, and one gametype made for it. Map Pictures Important Pictures This is the overview of the Island's Front. This is the overview of the Island's Back. This is one of the bases. This is part of the underground tunnel system. Action Pictures This is a picture from underneath one base. This is a picture of inside part of the tunnel system (during battle). This is the picture of the boat. (rocket spawns on weapon holder shown in picture) Gametype Description The game type is King of the Hill, and the hill is the water (floor). When you are in the Hill, you lose points and become slow, blue, and somewhat invisible. You gain points by killing the enemy. 5 points per kill, -1 point per second in the water, and 250 to win (50 kills without getting wet). *Strategy*=While in water, swim by jumping. So stay dry and have fun!! Gametype Pictures In the "water"... Out of the "water"... NOTICE that you are not affected by the water when you are in the boat!! Lol i like the idea of this, about the water However you only show the water were stairs are, so it looks like water is only there. However i do like it, are you playing team rockets in the pictures?
I like the idea and layout of this map. I love the tunnels and especially the boat design in the middle. Some parts do look like they could be better though but nice work.
i agree, if you look at many of cosmic rick's maps, he does an awsome job of avoiding geomerging but is still one of our most renowned forgers. im not a cosmic rick freak, but i think that kentucky tango has the most geomerging of any of his maps. and now i think rick has like 3 or 4 featured maps. so dont say a map has to have geomerging on it, it is when you have to add extra walls to avoid geomerging that it needs more.
The map looks great! i really like the underground tunnel, its very nicely placed with the bridge. everything seems to be cleanly interlocked. One thing i don't like is the base-idea of the map, i understand its suppoused to be underwater, but it's not.. its just a regular old used factory in reality of the game.. not water, unless you had a modded map.. lol Overall Rating: 6/10
The basic idea is pretty cool, it'd be awesome if you died if you touched the ground. Maybe if you made it in standoff on the part where you die if you're on the ground too long.Anyways the tunnel system I thought was pretty creative although the first picture makes it seem like a big MESS. Interlocking would've helped alot. I give 6/10
this map looks realy cool. it seems kinda like a city with the little halo twist. you have an excelent post and i saw some well done interlocking. the gameplay seems good and realy fun. the weapon placement also seems well done. nice map dude and keep up the forge
The first time I played this with the gametype, it was a pretty fun game. Very unique, I've never seen this idea used before. Then, I added random weapons to the gametype and it was really fun! The map itself is well constructed, I don't know why other people don't really like it... I give it a 5/5, good map and better gameplay.
I think I'm in love! This map's KoTH idea is brilliant! I love the "boats" and the fact that you're not in the "water" when you're in the "boats"! Very balanced and looks very fun with any Slayer game (within this KoTH variant, that is). Even if the interlocking isn't that efficient on the map, the KoTH gametype is the bit that I love. Can I get some "water" traits?
