No. Bungie can be just as money grubbing as Microsoft, apparently, the millions in revenue from Halo 3, and the first map pack aren't enough to pay their employees. Heroic will be free before legendary comes out though I'm sure you knew that.
No Think about this bungie put 20 (i dont know the real number of people its proably more but hey myabe not...or maybe not to that HAH double negative now you is confused) to work to make the new...3 or so maps(again a guess) and then give it out for free? Not gonna happen Its the heroic map pack will BECOME free after legendary is availible incidently waht will they do for the next map pack? come up with an even harder difficulty? /shudder as remembers jackal snipers from legendary
Bungie is a business, guys. You may think they are here to make you happy, but what they really care about is money. (I guess they need to make us happy to get our money though, but still...) People start businesses to make money. Also, it costs money to make the new maps. It's just 10 dollars. (I think) Thats just like working at McDonald's for like what, an hour or two? $10 isn't really all that much.
I do believe that anyone who can afford an XBOX 360 and say that they have not enough money for the map pack, is a liar and a thief. It's just annoying because we can't be at all sure of the quality of the maps until we purchase them.
Ah but i the words of digital pheer $10 is one sisth of the games full retail value for 3 or so maps When you look at it that way THEN it seems a bit much considering were not really paying for anything like post/packaging Im not saying its expensive or that i wont be buying it but its something to think about
I just don't buy maps because I believe when I buy the game I intend on having the full game without having to constantly buy new stuff. But I guess it is a business. Life's tough.

Any notice this is a bit of a wierd name? Since mythic means it has no basis on fact ,legend being it has been exagerated from an origonal story ie the trojan war Sorry its a bit off topic but it just occured to me that one way you could look at it is hes saying the legendary map pack will be free when the mythic,fictional map pack comes out.... EDIT:Just re read what i typed and think it may or may not make sense/be relevant to anything it was a totally random notion in my head that sounded better BEFORE i clicked post...
lol, i got what you're saying. i implied two things actually, a. another may not come out b. mythic was the name of the skull in halo 2 that made legendary even harder, so i suppose thats the step up from legendary but really, i dunno haha
Microsoft decides on how much DLC is worth. They get to do this because Xbox Live is run by Microsoft not Bungie and Microsoft wants to make a profit off of it. Not "Bungie can be just as money grubbing as Microsoft".
k i was just wonderin and ya i can afford spendin 20 bucks at a store to buy more than the microsoft points i need because cards dont sell at 10
Altho you can be sure at least 70% of that tenner is going straight to bungie Think of bungie as the wholesaler and XBL(midcrosoft in effect) as the retailer
Bungie still has no decision on what the DLC price is on Xbox Live Market place. With Microsoft only get 30% (hypothetic percent), they have to raise the price to $10, which some people seem unreasonable (its really isn't that bad), to gain enough money to make a good profit.
True but it only seems unreasonable when you look at it in relative terms In all honesty €10 isnt that much,i suppose i got the game quite cheap so it seems more Now if you compare it to the cost of two value meals at mcdonalds then it seems quality enough for your money XD
Na, they may just use the Upper Ranks on live, Like the Commander Map Pack, or the General Map Pack (that sounds too general lol :squirrel_giggle:................... :squirrel_sad: well i tried to make u laugh).
