I downloaded this to see if I could kill my friend, but it never killed him but that is aside the point. It's great that is is so unnoticeable and that is what makes it great. I'm just wondering if it would be possible to do this same thing, only the wire hits a fusion coil, which launches into a grav-lift, opening the door you were standing right in front of. It would only open once but I think that'd be pretty sweet. Just a thought, and I don't think you'd have much trouble doing that. Anyway, good switch, and I hope someone expands on this in a more playable map. 4/5.
yea, this is pretty good but i had trouble with getting it to work but over all it is an awsome design and well shown
well i thought of making an opening door, it should be possible, you could take the same map here, in theory, and put the dumpster facing upwards with the man cannon pointing up as well.
Another switch that doesn't involve powerups or gravity lifts! Nice thinking but try interlocking the bridge with the box so there isn't a ditch. 4.7/5
yeah well i put the ditch there so it was slightly obvious where it was and i was to lazy, Also there is actually a man cannon, i dont know if that counts as a grav lift. i should also note that i did not come up with the wire switch part, i just used it in an interesting way, wow, i am so glad people like it, i'll have to try to implement this into a map sometime.
Wow that's really clever using the fact that people slightly cause objects to move around. I'm sure it uses a lot of items but with unlimited budget it sounds great!
Does this work because the truck is fused with the bridge so its sensitive and when you touch it the switch activates?
I got my friends to try this they all three kept jumping bridge at first, till I think that hit their head on ceiling, they all died, and it was hilarious, they thought we was trying to get out of the map at first....xD
Nice switch, so this is what happens, You walk thinking that the overshield is the switch, you walk over the bridge, move the truck and vibrate the barrels which touch the dumpster, Right? Well great switch it works very well, 5/5
You can set an opem box upside down to spawn no at 10 then stack two dumpsters on their side next to each other, with a crate and a pallet on top. I used this swith but I made it myself, I had a truck down a hallway fling at you, good switch nether the less. There has been a switch as soon as you walk over a part of the floor a dumpsters pops up out a double box your walking over and if you have a low health then it splatters you ;p
This was so sweet, but I didnt use wire tech. The first time i saw it all my slots were filled =( so i made my own, it was two bridges across to prevent jumping over, and instead of wire tech i just had my dumpsters touching the bridge itself, so it wasn't as neat as yours. I still got my brother every time though.... =p
Well look at it this way, You jump over the bridge.....You live You walk over the bridge....You survive But if something like this was ever put into a map, the people at first will not expect it, but after playing it after a while they will get used to it. I think that you are a genius for making something like this, I would have never thought of doing this Nice job 5/5
@ everyone seeking to make a door switch out of this: yes, it is entirely possible and plausible to use a similar method to open a door. basically, you just make it so that a grav lift spawns right inside the door, but far enough up or to the side that it wont affect people going through it. then you make something similar so that it taps the door. this could be done easily if you use multiple switches within the switch. so when you step on something, it knocks over some barrels, which in turn make, oh say, a dumpster? fire towards the door, but a little to the side. then it in turn hits another dumpster or barrels or whatever that goes flying into the door and hits it from the side where it is not visible. you could also use basically the same thing to open multiple doors at once, whether they are linear or in completely different parts of the map. this would be interesting on infection, because you can make it so that whenever the humans activate a door that lets them out into a maze or whatever, the zombies are let out at the same exact time. this would really be useful in any game, team slayer, CTF, bomb, anything.

Yes but can it be reset? And even if it is resettable, they won't fall for it twice. It's a one hit wonder for each person, a learnable action. What good is a trap? You don't get the kill point for it. I'm just saying. It's only good for one chuckle. But it still is ingenius though.
well, if you read my post, you would know that it can be used for more than just a trap. it can be used to open doors too. also, if you do the same thing on both sides, it will kill someone. then you just have it all respawn ASAP and then there you have it it is resettable.
