Has it been confirmed that we can forge invasion on Forge World? I know it has been confirmed on invasion maps, but I don't know if you can forge invasion on every map. Has Bungie released that information yet?
Yes you can, Bungie stated this in one of there weekly updates i think. They siad theres specific settings and objects used to create and invasion map. But they didnt explain what they were. Chances are that this weeks update or next weeks will explain how exactly we forge an invasion map.
I've been getting mixed messages from all over the place but it seems like you will be able to Bungie has said we can customize invasion in some way so it seems like we can but I would say its not 100% confirmed so *fingers crossed*
It would make an interesting twist for an assault gametype if the bomb (core) was at the attackers spawn, with the extraction point in the defenders base.
Search and destroy much? But the special objects are probably bomb spawn and target areas. Also, team barriers presumably.
What if we could forge Firefight. Has it been confirmed that we can't? It's possible to put different AI spawn/drop points on a map, if Bungie put it on. But, yes you'll be able to Forge with the Invasion gametype.
I would very much like to see this implemented, just imagining a game of invasion spanning all of forgeworld makes me happy.
I really don't see how forging Firefight could be much harder. I mean, forge your map, set down like 4 or 5 drop zones. We can customize everything else for Firefight. Maybe I just don't know about the dynamics and implementation of AI.
Now lesse here. The said Invasion, however does that include invasion slayer? because I have a few ideas for that.
...Do any search anywhere. No, we CANNOT forge in Firefight (I think I've answered this like 5 times in various other threads, along with other people answering it also.) On the specific firefight maps the A.I. knows which way it can go and which way it cannot, it would take a lot advanced technology for them to be able to figure out all the walkable, jumpable, not-get-stuckable places on all the custom maps. There was one instance of this on an ODST firefight map, hunters would always attempt to run through this one section, but they couldn't fit, so they'd get stuck there and continuously try.
^ It's actually a good thing, because if they tried to process an AI-pathing system that was robust and easy for public use, it would be of really low quality, and we wouldn't get the kind of AI response that Halo is really renowned for in campaign or firefight.
