The crates and open boxes on Last Resort are not classified as immovable objects like the double boxes in Foundry. This technique does not apply to any object that is not considered immovable.

You can also use the interlocking glitch to make a teleporter door...if you want to check it out, you can go Here

I'm working on a map using it,mainly to show how it works, but it will also (hopefully) be fully playable and fun to play...thinking of both a symetrical and asymetric CTF/ bomb gametype. What did you mean by boss idea? And p4tr1ck,were you replying to me?

    Interlocking floating objects.

I was working on my new map (Unrevealed at the moment) and trying to interlock objects that are floating in the air. The Forging 101 tutorials work, however, everything is either on the floor or balancing on something else.

Using the steps from forging 101, I was able to interlock objects that are floating in the air. Set the respawn at start to "no" and move the object into the desired location. Anyway, since the objects are floating, I had to use the save and quit method to keep the object I was holding in place.

When I restarted the map, the objects were indeed interlocking. However, the object I set to "no" for respawning at the beginning of the map now could not be "grabbed". As in, the little green hand icon never appeared again. This caused much frustration as in the only way I could fix the issue was to remake the whole map.

In conclusion, The way to fix this problem of not being able to grab the object in forge when the map is restarted, is to go into monitor mode, hit the start button, and click on "start a new round". Then, the object disappears like before and all you have to do is wait for the set number of seconds to go by for the object to spawn in place. Then you can see the little green hand icon and change the respawn back to yes.

Yeh after you've started new round just force spawn it by setting the run time minimum to the maximum it'll go then back again... That force spawns it... and you can grab it.
Means you don't have to wait.

Please add this for those that are new to this feature:

"A helpful strategy to Interlocking objects is to place a shield door(s) on the corners of the object, this will create a marker that will allow you to see where to place the object to interlock it with the other the way you want it to be."

I use this trick all the time! But also put in not to use weapon holders or teleporter nodes, as those are solid to the scenery that is placeable.

Is it possible to interlock any objects on the original maps? Like crates or turret cases or something of that general nature? Or will they all spiral off in a mess of material like the containers on Last Resort?
