was thinking and everyone says that good maps have to involve interlocking.Well, what about all the maps on the original 13 disk maps, Vanhalla, Sandtrap, etc) Those maps dont have interlocking, are they not good?I mean can the good maps be made only on DLC maps? I was just wondering about that because there are some good maps on Vanhalla and stuff.

There's a reason that there isnt any decent competetive maps on the Non DLC maps.
It may not be mandatory but it is neccessary... If you didnt know, these threads have been done to death.

Yeah sure there are some maps that are good that dont have interlocking. But it is so much better if it has it. Why? Well first its better gameplay wise(your grenades dont get caught in between the boxes. Second it looks clean.

You associate interlocking with original maps, but original maps use computers to make real scenery. Not dealing with boxes in Foundry. That's completely different

The '13 Disk Maps', ie. the default maps, dont require interlocking because they have no gaps, no bumps, and are computer generated, they can make whatever shape they want.

With Foundry, we are stuck with boxes. If we want to make a curve, we have to interlock. If we dont want gaps or bumps, we have to interlock.

Interlocking or not is like comparing Lego bricks with Play Dough.
