Anyone have any experience reformatting a hard drive and installing Windows XP on it? How long would it take... Chances of screwing **** up... Any wisdom you want to share... I'm pretty good with computers and I think I'll be able to figure it out for the most part. Here's my game plan: 1. Back the important **** up. 2. Make note of installed drivers. 3. Put in the Windows XP installation disk. 4. Delete the old C partition. 5. Create a new C partition. 6. Format the drive as NTFS. 7. Install Windows XP on the new partition. 8. Fix any remaining problems. I realize that is an extremely vague to-do list, so basically I was looking for any pointers before I start this journey. Please note that the computer is Windows Vista, it's a couple years old, and I want to do this for multiple reasons that are worth breaking what I'm sure is a now worthless computer. Thanks.
