    Installation Beta.

    a secret forerunner facility has been recently been discovered. it looks like a test laboratory, but for what who knows?

    it appears to have been long abandoned. One room is contaminated, this could have been why it is no longer in use.



    (i called it beta, as it is not a finished map, but the name kinda makes sense as being a secondary facility.)

    my first dabble in Forge.

    made mainly to see what Forge can do, but turned into 1 flag CTF map.

    thus, the map is not symmetrical.

    have not tested, so spawns etc could be awful. it could be too difficult to capture the flag, i don;t know til it has been played.

    think have set up for 1 flag CTF, headhunter and FFA. but haven't played with anyone to really find out.

    if anyone wants to give it a run around and give some feedback would be appreciated.

    thanks for the good site for which to use for ideas, inspiration and help.

    if you wanna test, go for it, i have no reason to be there. saved films would be appreciated to watch.

    haven't posted in the map area as no-one has actually played it yet.

    the weapons are balanced for 2 teams, 2 shotguns, 2 sniper, 2 rockets etc.

    feel that maybe overkill, but i was aiming for 1 flag and thought i'd keep things even as possible (well, in my mind) and haven't got game specific weapons.

    no vehicles.

    there are a couple of teleporters, a couple of man cannons and a few shields. and have used a couple of lights to create a different look to the monotonous grey/blue!

    there is one room that has a soft kill zone, to tie in with the experimentation theme.

    i ran out of credits, there is one part in particular i would have liked to have put more stuff in, but it doesn't appear to be likely at this time.

    there is also a random explosion at one corner of the map. i believe this to be from a mate of mine 'helping' and adding a garage of vehicles at one point. (quite why he wanted vehicles i don't know) i think one is stuck in the wall. but i kinda like the effect.

    Wow this map is huge just by the pictures, beautifully put together, is it confusing to find out which way your going by any chance?

    i do not think so, but i have spent countless hours in it!

    no area is the same, so though it may seem immediately complex, with a few minutes to acclimatise yourself, you should have it down.

    though maybe a few more games to find and learn the weapons layout, lol.

    i very much expect that the weapons will need tweaking.

    i had intended for a very claustrophobic feel, almost like something from an Alien movie. but you cannot use enough of those tunnels etc to do what i originally wanted. maybe with more forging i'll be able to recreate what i want with other pieces.
