I was placing initial ordnance drops all over my map. In one area I placed two, labeling one as a concussion rifle and the other as a covenant carbine. When I loaded a slayer match to test it, the two weapons were swapped. I went in forge and reversed the labels and it fixed the issue. Do you think someone at 343 accidentally swapped these two labels or is this just a weird glitch on my map? EDIT: Okay now during the game when I picked them up and they redropped the weapons changed places again, so they are right according to the labels. What gives?! EDIT: Okay I think I have figured out what is going on. The two that swapped were placed one directly over the other on different levels and this somehow made the two swap places during the initial drop. I moved the lower weapon so that it was not directly underneath the upper level weapon and now they spawn correctly. It appears that placing initial ordnance drops over each other on different levels can make them swap locations.
I've had this issue too. It appears that the weapon spawned at an initial drop is chosen randomly from the list of weapons able to be spawned at an initial drop; that is, there's a list of drop positions and a list of weapons, but they're not actually linked together so any of the weapons can spawn at any of them. This isn't how it works in wargames matches (Adrift for example, you never see the sticky detonator spawing in the center) so maybe there's something else going on. It is quite entertaining when you see a drop pod for a weapon fall on top of a drop pod for another weapon though.
