Hello everybody! I have created the ultimate tennis court of halo3. This is an original idea for I have found no other forums who have attempted making this court. The whole process of making this tennis court took about 6-7 hours. The amazing thing about this game is that it only has 1 honor rule! Normally a sport like tennis would have a lot of rules you would have to follow that aren't associated with the actual halo 3 game but I've modified this to allow amazingly fun play without having to worry about rules that don't normally apply to halo3. The only rule there really is is no hitting the ball when it's going into the scoring mechanism. (pictures of this below) This isn't really an honor rule, more just common sense but no going on the other side of the net! Those are the only rules that apply to this game.

Now about the court. I spent hours testing, and thinking of ways you can score. What I finally came up with was this: At the very back of the court on both sides, there are bridges that lead down to a cannon man which shoots the 'tennis ball' into a hole. There is a teleporter to insure there is no cheating in the game. When you score, the ball will be pushed into the whole allowing you to cross into the single box. In the single box there is a bomb you must pick up. As soon as you pick it up, it will be armed and you score a point! That's only if you also got the soccer ball into the hole. If you do so choose to try and score, you WILL be shot into the teleporter and you will be teleported outside of the map to be killed!

So there's the scoring mechanism. Here are some tips for playing: Use teamwork!!! The more gravity hammers hitting the ball the better your chances are of hitting it over the net and scoring. Next: Get close to the ball before you hit it. That wil help lift the ball up and over the net. The closer you get the higher and farther the ball will go. The third tip is to aim towards the bottom of the ball, this gives it more left to get over the net. The fourth and final tip is to have a great time!

The map is meant for 8v8 but works well with any number of even teams. It is indoor for the tennis ball would go flying out of the court and I wouldn't want that. The ball starts in the middle above the ground and you try to hit it to the opposite side of the court.

This is one of the most well crafted sports courts I've ever seen, please give it a shot! REMEMBER!!! This is totally original and if there is another tennis court out there I've never seen it.

There is a game variant to this and it will be in the link below.

All the pictures and the game variant is contained in this link, it goes straight to the map variant post on bungie.net: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=19889988&postRepeater1-p=1 (copy and paste the link into your browser)

I think you took the thumbnails of the pics. Just click to enlarge the pics, then click again and it will give you an option to save to desktop or wherever. Trust me, people like larger pics

This is definately a good example of excellent placing. The dome is superb in comparison to some other Halo 3 sports games that I have seen that don't even use a roof.

I have only 1 major suggestion.

From what I see, and from what you have posted, I think you should put teleporters in the middle above the fence so as to discourage going over the mid fence line and eliminating that honor rule.

The other suggestion that I have (which is only my taste) is I think you should have flipped the single boxes that you used for the floor upside down so as to give a smoother surface when playing on it.

But other than that, very good for a mini-game.

looks like a fun map but instead of walls put fence walls so you can see through the net and it will have the square net thing like they have in tennis and volleyball.

wow this is the first tennis course i have ever seen. the scoring mechanism seems good, interlocking makes the"court" look neater, and what would a tennis court be without a net in the middle. good job
