Why I'm making another indiana jones map... Well I'm guessing quite afew of you will have seen the original indiana jones map. I really like the idea of halo and indiana jones mixed but the original map really dissapointed me. Firstly I think most traps where placed too obviously or where you could see them and after realising where a custom powerup got you you would just be able to survive for the rest. Secondly I hated the gametype, it was fun for the 1st 30 seconds when everyone was running and getting hit by dumpsters but then the humans just camped out and it was crap. the map the gametype My version Iv'e set my version on a race style V.I.P varaint where it's a 1 minute mad dash to complete the course, throughout it are 5 checkpoints and 5 arrivals will end the round. To complete it in the given minute requires an almost perfect run with no mistakes. You have to go all the way to the end then back on yourself back to the beginning because I couldn't have a 30 second time limit so any set off traps going one way will get in the way going back. 1st section The 1st obstacle is a "bottomless" pit. I'm not going to give anything away but it's quite obvious looking at the pictures. The starting room (the teleporter is for the bottomless pit) The bottomless pit (it sends you to the teleporter lol.) How did they get there? (warning there floating on grav lifts and are unstable) Second section The next section is a room following to stairs following to corridor. It has muchos nom nom powerupos hidenos. You can actually vaguely see a trap somewhere on this picture... Some innocent looking stairs Not very innocent at all... Third section This part of the map is made of a long corridor and lots of crap flying at you from a man cannon, It's usually not too bad on the 1st time but coming back it can sting a little... after the corridor you turn around a corner and reach the outside. Going through the corridor of flying crap... Getting to outside (I know it's not blocked off but it's only 1 player so who cares?) Reaching the final destination just to prove it's possible (Iv'e had lots of practice) Please download and comment, the gametype is needed if you want it to be fun, doing it on forge or slayer just doesn't work. Incase you missed them up top the map the gametype
Hurgh, Temple of Doom was such a fail movie, why was it even made? Disregarding your choice of reference, excellent gimmick map. I like that pallet bridge a lot. Who told you that I have a fetish for those? I will get around to personally playtesting this, and I'll get back to you with a nice-ish review for ya.
well i havent seen an indiana jones map yet so good job on the originality i guess also good idea with the pallet bridge that looks hard!
looks pretty sweet, ilike the idea, too. seems like it could use a room that explodes or sinks, like quicksand
i think that you should of had in the territory part there should of been a an energy sword with light shining on it to look like the object head in the new film
i think its cool, the other maps are more like jumps and puzzles, but your map is like tricks, ways to kill you, i like it. i think its real original and well made.
Great map man. Watching friends faces when a barrier smashes them is always great. Other than that, I can't see myself playing this in a week. Its not your fault, its just that style of map. Still I'll you get my 5 stars. Keep up the great work!
Well being completely honest the idea isn't completely mine. However the map which I got the idea from was kinda crap so I had to make my own lol.
