I'm working on a poster for a friend for her birthday. However, it is going to involve rendering real photographs of bands, and I'm a little shaky on good techniques on rendering. So, I'm sure there are a few people that can give me a tip or two. Too bad that magic wand doesn't work very well on real photos... Thanks much! --Pigeon
First off use only the polygon tool. Its really all you need. Then just zoom in respectably, and begin to go around the focal. What helps me to is to have a fill layer of like orange or something behind it so when you delete a part of the photo you see how the render is turing out and/or see any mistakes. Hope that helps
The color behind is a great idea, and now I feel kinda stupid for not thinking about it. haha. But thanks anyhow. I've been looking around and that seems to be the consensus. =]
