Hi, everyone. New here. This is a Forge art/game map that I created of the Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. It was created first and foremost to be a Forge art of the ship, trying to retain as many accurate details as possible (though some details had to be cut out or modified due to budget and/or object limitations). After that was finished, I created a fairly basic interior layout (not a whole lot to it; I didn't have a lot left to work with by that point). I also set it up so that it can (in theory) be played as Slayer or King of the Hill (the "hill" being the in the command bridge, so that it's basically "gain control of the command bridge"); however, this was just a casual experiment. Competitive online gaming really isn't my area of expertise (or interest, honestly). Quick disclaimer: this map has not been playtested. Again, I mostly created it for the aesthetics (and to a lesser extend, exploration), so I don't know how well it actually works as multiplayer map (there are respawn points and weapons, but as I said, I was mainly just experimenting). All I know is that the map is at least technically compatible with Slayer and King of the Hill, and that King of the Hill mode worked when I tried it as a single player in a custom game. This is also why I haven't listed the maximum number of players; I'm sure I sound like a noob, but I don't know how you limit or determine that. Anyway, on to the screenshots:
The outside is well built, but I defiantly think you should try to rebuild the inside better. Overall, nice map and well built! :3
Yeah, I don't much like how the interior came out. Unfortunately, by that point, budget was running extremely low, and I had no blocks, walls, or inclines left. All I had left were the pre-fabricated structures, and only so much room to fit them all in. Still, I suppose I could have done better with what was available. Honestly, I would have left it purely as Forge art with no interior whatsoever, but I wanted it to have at least *some* value beyond looking at it from the outside. I'm not big on MP maps, but I like something you can explore & interact with. If I ever manage to create an interior that is significantly better, I'll replace it, but for now this will have to do. Anyway, thanks for the comment.
wow I am amazed by the exterior of the ship. I would like to congratulate you on a job well done on the exterior. Good use of shade turrets by the way. No offense but the interior is really nothing in comparison to your outside. This is getting my download.
