Alright, so I pretty much gave up on Halo 4 and haven't been forging as of late, but an idea struck me a couple moments ago that I thought I'd propose. It would probably involve modding of some kind, and I'm not entirely sure how it could work, but I think the idea is there. Anyway, as the title says I want to attempt a baseball gametype using a ricochet modded variant. The idea is that you'd have one guy batting with a gravity hammer, and the Ball would spawn on the "pitchers mound". The pitcher would throw the ball (and somehow the Batter would be unable to pick it up, possibly a trait zone) at the batter, who would obviously swing the hammer and send the ball flying out into the field. I'm thinking sprint would be disabled for the batter, and he has to "Run" to first-second-third base depending on how much time he has. Hills would spawn on the bases for him to run through (which is why we need a modded gametype) in order to make sure he has to cross the whole field like a normal baseball game. Once he crosses the "Finish line" the "lap" is complete, and the team gets a point. The round would continue until one of the teams gets 3 points, in which a new round would start and the teams switch sides. The team that is pitching would score by throwing the ball to the back catcher, who is standing in a "goal" (run in only) and if they get it there before the hill is crossed by the runner, it would be a point. (this may be difficult to set up.) Meleeing the runner with the ball would also result in an out and a point, but should be hard to do (possibly make it so that the runner moves faster than the catchers). Obviously I don't think the catch without hitting the ground would result in an out as there is no way to do that, so it would just end up throwing the ball to one of the bases or the back catcher... The hills will have trait zones on them to prevent killing the runner, and possibly make it so throwing the ball to the back catcher won't result in a point. Like I said, not sure how to set it up but that's the idea. Likely will involved modding, which is why I haven't attempted it myself and why I'm giving it it's own thread for someone else to attempt. Thoughts on this poorly written idea?
