Made By: SpEcTaCuLar Ra Ianthe Video [bungievid]101168578[/bungievid] Description Well this is my first longshore track and it seemed, from others' opinions, that it's a great track. I pretty much was going for the best and smoothest longshore track because the ones I seen were pretty, well "bad" and they had bad flow. I just wanted to top them and I think I've succeeded. This map features two big square banks and a great route with the longshore surface. All of the track is double-wide( not like others that have single - wide areas). It provides a fast-paced style of racing and is pretty easy to drive. It is compatible with battletracks and can be played with 6-12 players. Also includes an uncheatable destination. Hope you enjoy the map!! Pictures Start Straightaway after start First Bank Ramp 2nd Straightaway Final Bank and Destination Overview Another Overview Ianthe RaceTracks Battle Tracks Battle Snipes
This track makes me miss xbl more than anything else has so far (well, besides MW2). The forging and planning on this map look spectacular (hehe), and from the video, it seems to have the best flow and gameplay out of any Longshore map so far. This might even be the best track possible on Longshore. It's qued, and I will get to a friend's house asap to try it out.
i'm glad I got to see this and race on it before you released it Ra. I really like the use of shield doors which are always fun and strategic. It doesn't have any parts that you have to slow down on or anything, its just an all out great track. 5/5. Keep em coming Ra.
I just did about 5 laps on this. I can only say, it looks great, there were almost no bumps, and the layout is unique and works VERY well. Probably the only successful Longshore track I've seen/may ever see.
I just raced it and it is my favorite Longshore track to date. I like the fact that it is double wide. The speed that can be maintained is perfect for the setting you have created. I like how the track dips under the water as well. There were no major problems that I could see. Everything was merged together very nicely. Again, the fact that the track flows so fast & smooth on Longshore, just goes to show the advanced level of forging that has been accomplished. The only part that I could complain about is the last section right after the shield doors. I flew off that part on my first lap. The top right turn around right before the goal confused me the first time and I flew into the water. I would have like to have seen that top section contain more bordering. Besides that, the track was very fun and I will be looking forward to getting a game of Battle Tracks going soon. Nice job!
Uh, it never dips under the water Dream. Ha ha. I thought it woulda been cool if it dide, but this track is sexy enough that it doesn't even need it. the layout is amazing and every time I drive on it i gain more, more, more, more, and more speed. each and every time.
Even though short (although Longshore doesn't provide much in terms of race tracks) it's definitely one of the smoothest tracks I've seen on this map. You succeeded in creating a nice flow and isn't too easy. I did fall off a few times by going to fats but when i maintain a good speed the track is awesome. I like how you incorporated a lot of the parts of Longshore into the map too. Awesome job and I'll be lookinf forward to future maps from you, Spectacular!
My bad.. I DLed a bunch of Longshore tracks and I thought this had a part that dips under the water. I must have been thinking of another track. I do agree that the speed you can get by bouncing on some of the shield door turns is impressive for a track forged on Longshore. Again, great track and I look forward to playing it with a party to see how the action holds up.
I finally got to try this out, and it didn't disappoint. There were a few bumps, but it was very smooth overall, and the shield doors really help keep your speed. I would be interested to see if it's faster to skip them on some parts though. I did think the ones around the Boiler Room could have been tweaked a little to provide the best assistance. But, I stand by what I said by looking at it: best longshore track to date.
