I suck at playtesting: I spent the entirety of Monday preparing for an event I'd warned all of my friends about on Saturday, and not one of 'em showed up. It's especially painful when I invite some of my closer friends later that night to show them my map, and one of them has the GALL to call my map, and I quote, "an ADHD clusterf***". Playtesting is not easy, especially when I'm testing a map that, I strongly feel, suits an 8v8 player count. Large lobbies are simply harder to manage. Time is money, and I don't have much money. Aside from me holding a rescheduled playtest of my map "Carthage", I'm wondering if there is any decent advice I should take when trying to playtest a BTB map. On another note, I've been trying to sell my map as a BTB-Infection hybrid, and it either confuses people or turns them off. Any advice? The map in question is an Alpha build of the map "Carthage". It is in my bookmarks for reference. Thanks!
Submit it to one of the lobby's around here. @Max Extra runs a lobby every Friday and we play a bunch of btb and infection. I've seen a few btb sized infection maps go through there. You'll get good feedback and peeps will take the play test seriously. Here is the thread link http://www.forgehub.com/threads/max-extras-forged-friday.150974/
Dang now i gotta live up to that. Dont worry DeathRhino we can test it. and get you some good feed back on it
I have to work on the Saturday after, but that's in the afternoon. Does Friday night sound good to you?
