YouTube- Fireflies (Piano Cover) by Alex Cole Tell me what you think. I arranged this version myself from some pretty crappy sheets a friend of mine was working on. He really only had the main rif. I took that and turned it into this. As some of you may know, back in November I posted a thread asking for suggestions for me to cover. I got a lot of great suggestions, and I learned most all of them. However I did not post actual videos of any of them besides The Mirrors Edge Theme Song due to the fact that my camera broke shortly after posting it. Since then, I have now bought a new camera, a new piano, and have gotten quite a bit better. So again, if you have a suggestion, and I like it, I will cover it. This one was actually requested by RightSideTheory on the previous thread. Only four months late dude!
Not bad. You kind of changed the tempo at random parts...But other than that, the arrangement was okay. You did a pretty good job playing it, overall. Edit: BTW, either you're using the pedal incorrectly, or you have way too much reverb. I'm not sure which.
Sorry but the start was horrible. Don't know why but it sounded nothing like Fireflies. The rest of the song was pretty well played although you did speed up a bit in a few sections.
Yeah, playing the intro on a piano really doesn't do the song justice. I like playing the beginning on a synth, and then the rest on a piano.
Yeah the beginning I had to come up with myself. That was by ear. So it's not dead on. Plus, it's on piano which doesn't sound the same as synth. The actual notes in the beggining are near impossible to play on any instrument because they jump octaves every other note at a very fast tempo. I did my best with five fingers hahaha And I do try slow down for the "I'd like to make myself believe" part on purpose, but I know what you're saying. Thanks. Just turned 16 today, and I've been playing since I was seven. Haha no that's not a mole. It's a freckle. It's just like zoomed in on because my arm is really close to the lense.
