I am writing this entire thing with speech recognition.
    This is so awesome.
It's a little cumbersome at first, but it gets easier as time goes on. What are your views on speech recognition?
I think I might use the mouse for surfing the web though.

It's too gimmicky to ever become useful widespread.

    Agreed.

Accents also have an annoying influence on it. I have a friend in New Zealand that can't play End War because of his accent. I lol'd. just a little though. :)

Yeah it glitches alot. And the interface needs simplification. Its rather slow anyways.

have you tried windows 7's voice recognition? Its still glitchy but its the best ive ever used.

I've only tried vistas. It may be gimmicky now but this is seriously useful in the military and government where the technology is more perfected. If that level of technology can be cheap enough for household use the 'smarthouse' could get a huge boost.

I'd like to see someone who stutters use this.
    W-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w well that's not true!

Yeah great for a smart house, buts its a really inefficient way to type on a computer. A good typist can type 80 words in a minute. Good luck talking that fast.

That is a good point. The voice recognizer probably can't even comprehend 80 words a minute.

Doesn't matter, 3 years time we'll communicate and type by thinking.

    For £200 it should be!
    Well, it looks magical...
Do you know if there's a trial or anything?
It looks like the sort of thing that would be good fun to try for a few hours, but I don't think it would have two hundred pound's worth of difference to my life...

Anyway, I'll look into this. We may be making foruming (now a word) easier for everyone! It'll be the discovery of a lifetime, we'll be heroes!

Now I think of it, no, there isn't, but I've got it and trust me, it's good. :)
