I wouldn't miss it as much if Z-Fighting wasn't a thing anymore. But it still is, and damn, is it a struggle to fix now.
The Next Gen is soooo much more useful for forging Infection than Purple. That one looked pretty ugly, actually. Besides, Impact and Erosion are very dark maps already.
Mmmhmm.. instead they've cut massive holes into all the blocks so when they line up you have a gaping hole there instead... but, it's filled with invisible barriers again (Y)
The maps themselves are dark, yes, but the lighting makes all the crappy pieces glow like hell. Not to mention, the lighting on Erosion is just atrocious. I honestly feel that that map is more of an awkward hybrid between dynamic lighting and light mapping. Leaning more toward the latter.
From what I could tell, in one of Mr Pokephile's vids the Juicy fx actually does make the map darker while not making any pieces glow. The Next Gen does do that though, which sucks
Someone already started a poll over at the 343 polling booth about bringing back precision editing. I know that 343 might not check the forums that much, but at least it's worth a shot. If a lot of us go over and drop a vote and a comment, it would seem like they are bound to notice . . . https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst133360_Forge--nudge--mode-removed.aspx Hopefully it's OK to post links to other forums . . . I love forgehub but I'm not sure if anyone from 343 actually comes over here . . . Edited by merge: Dude, that sucks you think the pieces look crappy, dude (check it I just used dude in that sentence twice.) That makes me so upset that I never want to game with you again! And I WOULDN'T ever game with you again if I didn't have to take half the people off my friends list to do so! Lol, seriously though, do you really think they look THAT bad? I'm actually really happy with the way everything looks (please don't hate me forgehub.) Something I think that is important to keep in perspective is that the Xbox 360 is what, 6 - 7 years old? With that in mind I think 343 did just about as good as a job as possible . . . I could be wrong though . . .
