This is my map, Hydration. It can be played with FFA and Team slayer. it also supports one flag and one bomb since the map isnt symmetrical. my map also supports koth, oddball, and territories. It has most of the common weapons such as a sniper rifle, a rocket launcher, a shotgun, a sword, a focus rifle, a plasma repeater, a needler, DMRs, needler rifles, a plasma pistol, and a mounted machine gun near the center which can be really effective in normal king of the hill where the center is the only hill. the map is built on top of the water and has water in the lower walkways, which adds a new addition to gameplay in which grenade placements mean everything here considering how grenades dont bounce in water. The main base itself is big and perfect for attackers, offering several ways in and out of the base for objective games like one bomb and one flag, and defenders are given cover from the sniper at the attackers spawn point. I spent alot of time making this map, used all the money in the budget, and have tested it out many times in custom games.
The map looks very elaborate. Could you possibly provide some more information about the map, such as gameplay, weapons etc.? Also, more screenshots would be helpful for myself and the Forge Hub community in order to see the entirety of your map before reviewing it. Thanks! SSRC
The map DOES look pretty elaborate. And big. Seems like playing with anything less than 12 players might be a bit underwhelming. I'm conflicted about water sections of maps, as they do play havoc with grenades like you said, but they add an extra element to maps. I will queue up for dl and look around later. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Well after taking a look around, I thought the overall design and layout of the map would definitely lead to some interesting games. I noticed some spots required jumping from rock to rock, not always a bad thing, and it definitely lends to some of the map's charm, but I'm worried that less experienced players won't realize that jumping is needed to move between them. I'd suggest keeping some of the jumps that aren't quite necessary to moving around the map, but some areas that require jumping out of (like the sword spawn) might be better off as a bridge or rock bridge. On other topics, man the spawn points are absolutely crazy! There are some FFA spawns out on rocks that require you jump into the map, and some respawn points atop the rock pillars, forcing you to leap down. If someone respawned up there they could easily take one accidental step to the left and fall to their deaths. While the idea is still pretty amusing, I'd say cool it on the respawn zones by edges. I still like the map though.
