What's with all these people necroposting? No, you're thinking of the wrong type of item limit. They're talking about the one that limits you to the total amount of ALL objects on a map. Since they're using an unlimited budget glitch, they can place many more objects on a map than usual but you can only place so many objects on a map before it says something along the lines of "Cannot create object, too many items on the map." You can't place 30 walls, or exceed the item limit of a specific item. Otherwise, people would start throwing 300 fusion coils around and crashing their 360s.
To clarify, no... you cannot place 30 walls now. You could not place 30 walls before, you cannot place 30 walls now, and you will never be able to place 30 walls in the future. It is quite literally impossible to get past any INDIVIDUAL item limit. The glitch as explained above allows you to get past the TOTAL item limit. That's because the TOTAL item limit is relative, and can therefore be manipulated. In terms a second grader could understand -------------------------- You can't get 40 walls You can get 1000 items on a map -------------------------- Of course, I know most people will just skip to the bottom and ignore this post, so I don't know why I bother.
i'm not exactly sure what you mean by "saving often" and deleting an object. Also, if this works, why don't people make a gigantically gigantic fort on sandbox?
Save changes, delete an unwanted item, quit. Start up forge again and the item limit will have been pushed back, letting you place more items. I doubt many people know about this. If you look at the last post (Not counting the guy clarifying), it was written in November. That was a long time ago in internet time.
This. Does. Not. Work. Stop trying to find ways to get around the item limit. This is a bogus thread that kind-of-sort-of-half-assed worked in Foundry, and absolutely does not work on Sandbox. This thread should be deleted due to irrelevancy.
I think when Bungie made sandbox, they must have known that the map naturally would not have the same values for each item. Even though each item counts as 1 item towards the item limit, something as large as a double block would be harder on the processing system than a frag grenade (at least I think). I've always wondered how the item limit worked in games like these. If you play a map that is already at the item limit, then why when you kill a player do they drop grenades? And why don't those grenades count towards the item limit? I've played in maps where there's a mess of dead bodies in rooms where grenades litter the ground. Maybe this could give some insight on finding the holy grail of forge glitching (bypassing the item limit).
