How much planning?

sometimes I sketch random structures when I am bored in school, but that's it.

 

This may sound gay, but I carry around a book to school and i draw different concepts i see. and on the bus, lots of cool buildings are here in hawaii.

but other than that, nothing. i come up with map names while making it, i do have a basic idea of the map first though.
