Im asking because i have read a few tut's but they dont make much sense. Also i dont have a single programme at the moment. Im thinking about going out and getting CS3, but i dont know yet. Is there a simple (maybe free?) programme to do this task? and if so could i have like a tutorial on how to do it, so i can save it incase i remember..
There are several free alternatives to Photoshop, like The GIMP. It may come up on a Google search. It's an open source and free Photoshop that does pretty much everything in the same way, but of course it has it's shortcomings. You also have to install some framework that I'm not too familiar with but I remember it was required to run the program. GIMP is a SourceForge project though, so anything they release is safe. You can't buy CS2 anymore I don't think but I personally think it is the best. CS3 introduces a new interface that lags a computer with a gig of RAM, and I don't see anything that's oh-so-great about it. So if you have CS2, it'll probably work there too.
