What do you do?

  1. Place objects together without zooming, left-sticking, coordinates, and rotation snapping.

I use all of the features, but there are times when nothing will replace eye balling with precision movement.

I try to take full advantage of all of the tools Bungie gave us so, everything... whichever technique(s) is right for the situation.

A combination of left stick and the bumpers works better than that ;). I used to use the method you state here, until I found out about left-sticking. Saved me the hassle of those annoying bumps.

I accidentally voted for the top one instead of the one that involves all techniques. Anyhow, rotation snap and left-sticking are the methods I use most. If it's symmetrical I'll use co-ordinates much more. I like to get an object in a general position via rotation snap, then turn the snapping down to either 5 or off and adjust if from there. A couple left stick maneuvers for z-fighting and precision leveling of objects and it's all gravy. I never use zoom though.

I use mostly everything in forge. Coordinates are good for getting percision or if your OCD. Though eyeballin it is much easier for me since I've grown accustom to eyeballin it into the correct place.
