how do i get sheild doors to stay sideways?

oh, come on. this is like the third post on the front page about this. let's start using that search function, guys.

place the shield door at the angle you want it, and while still holding it save the game, quit, and restart forge. it will be at that same angle when forge restarts.

 

Put the shield door sideways how you want it to stay, then save and quit.
