.....POINT MARION, Pa. — An 85-year-old woman boldly went for her gun and busted a would-be burglar inside her home, then forced him to call police while she kept him in her sights, police said. ....."I just walked right on past him to the bedroom and got my gun," Leda Smith said. Smith heard someone break into her home Monday afternoon and grabbed the .22-caliber revolver she had been keeping by her bed since a neighbor's home was burglarized a few weeks ago. ....."I said 'What are you doing in my house?' He just kept saying he didn't do it," Smith said. .....After the 17-year-old boy called 911, Smith kept holding the gun on him until state police arrived at her home in Springhill Township, about 45 miles south of Pittsburgh. The boy will be charged with attempted burglary and related offenses in juvenile court, Trooper Christian Lieberum said. He was not identified because of his age. ....."It was exciting," Smith said. "I just hope I broke up the (burglary) ring because they have been hitting a lot of places around here." source kinda funny... i mean it was the robber who called 911!
lul, robber was pwned. That is very brave, and that women has guts. Elderly people never cease to amaze me.
This sounds like something my Grandma would do. She would probably get her giant rolling pin and smack him in the back of the head... I love my grandma's cookies.
robber=Epic fail 85 year old=Epic triumph this is one of the funniest things ive ever heard, god what would you do if yuou were that robber?
if you where the robber you would be prububly freaked out to see an old person pointing a gun at you telling you to call 911. yeah elderly people can do amzing things, for there age. no offence.
very nice. i love to see old people stand up for themselves, like that one old lady who kicked the **** out of the robbers all the way to the front porch that was on the news here a little while ago. sooo epic.
Yeah, but i guess it shouldn't they ARE people too and they can do stuff on their own like fight back, i think we just have this image that old people are defenseless when they really aren't.
When I read that he kept saying "I didn't do it" I thought he killed someone or a family pet. I really want to here him talk on the phone to the cops, "umm yeah I was going to rob this house and now the old lady is pointing a gun at me....."
I think that it was perfect that she made him call the police. That's way better than calling after he's left.
I heard it on the news because I live in PA. It was so hilarious. She had like a shotgun and stuff. The caption said like: gun-toting granny. Lol. Blue do you live in PA?
Naw I just look at bizarre news and post the most intressting articals i find. I agree with you camofo, I would want to here the conversation between the cops and the robber.
Yay for gma! Poor guy I mean yeah he's an ass for robbing old people, but being held at gun point by an old lady. How's he gonna explain that to his friends after jail.
what are you supposed to say to the dispatcher "ya i was robbing this laddies house and she has me at gun point come get please?"
