Hobo Heights Created by TrueDarkFusion & TheYavimayan Players run around on a destructible platform made out of pallets. There is a zombie on the ground with a spartan laser trying to blast through your Hobo home. Be sure not to fall thought because the Hobo Hunter has a sword and extra speed in order to slice you down. Oh by the way did I mention the beach is blocked off? So good luck escaping! Your best bet is to avoid fire for three minutes when the explosions end and the Hobos are free. The game is very hard, and through testing I have only seen the Hobos win once. Fun to play with a lot of people, Only thing I found to play better is if you don't make the pallets run time on map max so that so that there always isn't all the pallets there making it harder for people to stand on it. If you make the run time two less then there should basically always be two missing and once two more get destroyed the two previous missing ones then return...
This was a funny map, the novelty only lasted 3 or so games, but I like the idea of it. I personally don't know what would make it infinitely replayable, but whenever I being a new friend into the party I always have to show it off... I like the Narrows suggestion, then the zombie wouldn't have to charge the players to kill them when they fall. Good map though! 'Twas fun! Keep up the good work!
If your making a second one, use reciever nodes to float 8 of the pallets, and powerups or weapon holders to float the others. This will require to place them more carefully but it will look better, and then as you would say, play better. A unique idea would be to use powerups in the spots directly above the zombie spot so that if you fall to fight him, you might have a chance. This would mean you'd also have to have a nearby floating teleporter that would bring you back up if you survive, and use a reciever then with that. Point is, since your making a new one, try to make it original and just based on "Hobo Heights," not just a Narrows remake.
I played this last night and it was alot of fun but i was only able to play it with a small party. I can't wait to play it with more people.
Well it didn't sound like you did, and if you use that trick I showed you the other day powerups can float, soon there will be a forging 101 that will explain advanced techniques with floating objects and list every object that can float. Floating powerups can be useful for creating some unique maps, I've already started using it two of mine that I'm working on.
Try to make sure the little metal things are flat and supporting the pallets, and the powerups will work great.

It'll be a bit... I've only got 1 map released so I am releasing a map today, ACMP1 Saturday (3 maps and 6 gametypes, all compatible with each other and future ACMPs... AZN Cottage Map Packs), and I'm hoping to have another by next wednesday... I'll try to work on it sometime next week or this weekend if I get the chance... Then I can give you guys a good release date. And it won't really be Hobo Heights 2... just a Variation I guess...
So I just got spanked by True and Yavi... they are making Hobo Heights 2.0... look forward to it. And those that wanted me to build it don't worry... this gives me time to work on things like ACMP2 and other awesome maps...
This map was tons of fun. I think AZN's idea sounds cool too. I also have an idea for a koth game on a map like this...
I laughed until I cried while playing this map. It's hilarious being the Last Man Standing and running for your life while the zombie blasts away. Another idea...would be neat to see humans actually become zombies when they die, so people don't just lie around dead for a few minutes. Would also make the panic even more fun as the Last Man Standing.
If humans came back as zombies, then there wouldn't b any point. There coul be like 10 lazers going off simultaneously. The gametype as it stands works very well.
