High Plains A fast paced and fun map for a large party of people (great 8-16). To be used with Drifters gametype Story line: It was a nice small country town in the middle of nowhere with a nice chapel, big bank and other buildings. Everything was pleasant until the fateful day that the 3 drifters arrived. Everything went downhill from there. How long can you and the other locals hold out from the drifters and their evil ways? P.S.: Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER CAMP INSIDE OF THE BANK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME, it really ruins the game. welcome to forgehub. this post is not up to standards. your pictures cant be posted directly from bungie. you have to embed them. to do that, you can save the pictures to your computer. then youll want to make an account on photobucket/sign into photobucket and upload the pics. then one by one copy and paste the img codes into your post. no one else post about his pictures not working or it will be considered spam.
here use this to fix screenies http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-forge-maps/18644-embed-screenshots-your-map-thread.html
Doesn't really look much. If you were going to camp inside the bank, you could help by taking out the shield doors.
wow settle down homie g dawg he obviusly didnt understand what the title meant. think before you jizz yourself over someones post, as for the map, i had basically the same idea, but, i dont think thats the right effect for it.
Cool it everybody. Yes, it is supposed to be plains, my bad. Ill change that soon. As for the shield doors, you really are not supposed to camp inside of the bank until later on or until the zombie to human ratio is 2 to 1. The only reason that we didn't make a dissapearing wall inside of the bank to unlock the farther-on sections is because we maxed out the total item usage limit ( not budget). We couldn't even add respawn points (lol). But that is pretty much the only flaw in the game or map that I can think of right now. Thanks for the feedback on the the map though. Please tell me if there is anything else that could be better that is possible.
How did you manage to run out of the item limit? Just from the pictures there seems to be not that many objects objects :S If that really is the case then I suggest moving around those double box's on the right. There are a lot of them.
Yes. you are right about the prison part (though it makes me sad), it is pretty useless in a infection gametype. I guess we could delete it. So.... what could we add to the map with the added materials from the prison? Should we also delete the rockets or put them on a 1 or 2 minute repawn and then change the machine gun turret to a 3 or 4 minute respawn? Ideas?
this map looks good with the interlocking and all but it looks like you should add a little more to the map more cover and such other then that i like the old time filter
By deleting the prison, we may have enough space (memory-wise) to build a general store type building (trying to keep with the western theme). Do you mean more cover for the zombies or more cover for the humans (or both) when you say there should be more cover.
No. Everybody who is a zombie hates those. Even though there is limited amo, there is a large potential for a large party of people to hold out in it for 5 minutes. It gets boring after a while for the zombies. usually the zombies are never good at being zombies. You know how it is with idiots
We could delete a large portion of the bank and go with your idea and make a jail house in the middle. Or we could put a jail on the outside of the map where the original drifters spawn and just make the thing in the middle a ammo depot that has better guns and ammo spawning the longer the time is. That is basically the bank though. Lets see how it looks if we delete everything but the counter and front desk section. A shooting range would be cool. I would need to work on the idea of its usage though. But since being a western theme, isn't everything a shooting range.
i found that you can make statues using colombs and a TON of merged block flats, don't know if that helps but im throwing stuff out there.... i'll bring this map back to my testers and see what they think. can't wait to play. EDIT: yes, lol, especialy the zombies Mach.
if you want i can tell a bunch of my testers and clan members to spread it around as much as posible. I thought of somthing realy weastern; a mech.bull! i think i know how we can do this, but i'd need to test it out first.....
