I've been playing Halo just about since release (got a 360 just for Halo), and I've loved it since I first picked up the controller. ... and... Two years later, now I'm here. I think I might try my hand at map making, but I also really want to play some custom games with you guys! Edit: Post first, edit later. Well, now that I've read a few of the stickies... 'ponchato'. Hmmm... No reason for that, just a screen name I came up with in mid 2006 (I want to say). I've been called poncheeto, ponchayto, poncho, and Pocahontas by people online. The correct pronunciation of 'ponchato' is 'pawn chat oh'. Most people just call me poncho. I joined because 1) I want to create, test, and publish maps to a community which is decidedly focused on map-making. 2) I want to help other people test maps, play on said maps once completed, and see what others make. 4) I want to join a community of Halo 3 players, hopefully less stupid than the Bungie forums but more 'nice' than the MLG forums. 5) I want to skip number 3 in the list. Hobbies, let's see... Video games, track and field, computers, engineering (awesome course at my school) My real name is Sean, I'm 15, and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I guess I have to post a conclusion, so here's to hoping that we can have an awesome and fun time together.
Hey ponchato, welcome to forgehub, i hope you have a good time here, and have you not forged yet? If not i would suggest checking out the forge discussion thread, theres some pretty cool glitches, and i believe that the TRC guild has a customs section, nice to meet you
Wssup! So yeah, if your new to forging, i would also suggest checking out the Forging 101 section of this site, as it will get you up to speed on all of the advanced forging techniques. As for the forums, just make sure to follow the rules, and you should fit right in! I hope you enjoy your stay~
My mind just asploded. Welcome to ForgeHub. Home of Halo 3 Forge Maps, and Yomtvraps. Oh, and this was a really... well... written Intro. I say well because it's more of like a Mission Statement or something. Weird twist.
Well considering your motives, you have joined the right place! I definitely think of this place as a nice community with many helpful members only helping to improve your map and forging skills with fun on the way. I hope you can learn as much as I have so far in my few months here! I would suggest to you to check out Forging 101 and 201 for some advanced forging techniques and thoroughly read the rules to avoid any damage to your rep as a spammer or anything the can annoy people. But as I said before, enjoy the site, help out and contribute to the site as much as you want, and Happy Forging!
