    Hey everyone!

I know there's tons of introductions people have made already and it's hard for these things to go down without some sort of routine after a while, so I'll try to keep mine straight-forward.

My name is Mike, but as there are tons of people with that name, I'm known to most of my online friends as "Swift" (even when everyone else in a certain group is on a first-name basis. I swear if I knew them in real life they'd still call me that.)

Like a lot of people here, I've been playing around in Forge since Halo 3 came out and I was really excited with the new additions to it in Reach. I don't consider myself to be an absolutely amazing forger though, and there's still a lot I have to learn--which is exactly why I considered joining Forge Hub!

My style of forging, I guess you could say, is really casual for the most part. I usually open up forge with one single idea, mash blocks together until that single idea works, and then build the rest of the map around that.
It's an approach that has some flaws, I'm sure, as I can't consider most of what I've done so far to be matchmaking-worthy material.

But my friends generally seem to like my maps, so I guess there must be some potential here somewhere. Though I'm aware that just because my friends think it looks cool or has some neat ideas doesn't mean it plays right when there's a lot of people involved--so I'm here to learn the subtle tricks of the trade to turn the products of my little sparks of inspiration into balanced, productive, and really fun things to play on--the "Forger's Dream", I suppose!

...and by the look of things, it seems this might be the best place to do it :D

    Hey Swift! Welcome to Forgehub.

Nobody ever really starts as an amazing forger, and everyone has to learn how to make things work.

To me, your design approach is better suited to casual mini games than competitive maps. There are quite a few tips that experienced forgers can hand out, so feel free to ask around for help.

The FH Welcome Squad can help out with any forum of forging issues you may have.
