Need help. While I play WoW, I usually talk to people on ventrillo. Since I don't want my family to listen, I put in earbuds, so i can hear the people talk through there. Now, I'd also like to listen to music. But it gets too hard to listen to people while music playing. So I was wondering if I could play music through my speakers, and still have vent running and people talking through my earbuds. Go!
With earbuds, no. They are mapped into your default sound driver. Hoewever, for me in the setup options for Vent it appears I should be able to output voice through my USB headset while not having to change my default speakers. I'm not sure if it would work, but it's a thought.
On one of my computors, if i plug in an audio device an interface comes up that lets me customize each one to have their own sound options, and i can edit specific channels to work with specific devices. As long as the music and chat are in seperate programs it should be fine. Or i can right click on the sound button in the lower right and change manually. Then again, this is a $4000 computor built specifically for studio-quality sound editing so it may not be as simple for you. OS and computor model pl0x?
Hm, on my win7 laptop and i cant seem to figure it out. It may just be my one computor, sorry. If you havent tried google, you may still have a chance. Otherwise yahoo questions or bust.
Alright. So, try google and Yahoo. But otherwise I'd need a USB headset that doesn't run on the sound card?
You could just have the game sound and music come out of the speakers, go to personal settings, make it so voices don't come through the speakers, and play with it that way. But you want the game sound and voices to come out of your head phones but the music out of the speakers? Buy an ipod speaker system and set it up next to your xbox?
