Hey guys. So, as stated in my "What are your likes and dislikes about Pegasus" thread, I started re-imagining Pegasus, but the map kind of grew from there into it's own beast. This is Hercules (name not final). Designing this map was somewhat of a challenge for me, because, since Reach, I've been creating primarily symmetrical maps. But, I've grown a bit tired of that style, and wanted to try something new, as well as redesign and fix Pegasus. The current power weapon set on the map is a sniper that spawns on the far cylinder in the upper right corner, a rocket launcher that spawns on the ledge of the bottom courtyard between Red and Blue base, and a shotgun that spawns in the lower middle courtyard. I really wanted to promote flow between both sides of the map, have great sight lines and not have one area that can hold down the map (ie. red base on Pegasus). The map is in a truly alpha state right now. Nothing, especially aesthetics or theme, is set in stone right now. Although it started as a Pegasus reimagining, it's really become it's own thing, and I want it to be visually different from that map. I'm currently thinking of setting it in a prison yard, but again nothing is set in stone. Here's another picture. I plan to playtest soon, and could really use some help and feedback. Thanks guys!
Sweet, I won't be around my Xbox this weekend, but I'm free next week and weekend. Plus, I don't have spawns set up yet.
Being named Hercules, I'd go for a more Greek theme, however he was imprisoned at one point IIRC, so it could work I'll run through it when I get home if you want to pm me a list of questions I can be mindful of during my review
I actually forgot to put in on my fileshare before I left my college for the weekend. Oops. Could we do a run through together next week sometime? And Hercules is a total placeholder name. Was the first thing that came to my mind when I was naming it. Probably because of the Pegasus inspiration haha.
