Help with Spawns and Armor Abilities

    I'm trying to build an assault gametype (Grifball) where everyone on the map has 1 loadout (evade) and when someone picks up the bomb, evade is replaced by sprint. If that isn't possible, an alternative would be to have 3 people on the team have access to evade and only evade when they spawn and one person, and only 1 person, has access to sprint when they spawn.

    We spoke with Nokyard who suggested that we segregate the two positions by species: Tanks are Elites (and get the Elite loadout--Evade) and the runner is a Spartan (and gets the Spartan loadout--Sprint). The problem was that Elites are naturally stronger and faster than Spartans, so there was no reason why anyone wouldn't just give the ball to the Elites.

    So we switched 'em--Elites are the runners with Sprint, and the Spartans are the tanks with Evade. The problem here was the the Elite Sprint animation is super buggy. They glitch all over the place. Obviously Bungie did little testing of Elites with Sprint.

    Another idea we had was to set up the four spawn points like they are set up in Invasion, where players can choose which of the four spots to spawn in. The one slot would have the Sprint AA available for pickup, and the 2, 3 and 4 slots would have Evade. Don't know if that would actually work in an assault gametype.
