i need some help with a part on the final mission of solo legendary... Spoiler I need some help with killing the two Hunters at the end of the mission. i cant seem to be able to kill them. ive tried everything i can think of. i tried for a half hour straight on that one part. and nothing. i dont know what to do. Please help me! some advice ANYTHING!
I have not played that mission but here's a general guide on killing hunters. Hunters are damaged most by explosives then by bullets, plasma is useless as is anything that hits their shield. They are most vulnerable just before firing because the shield is out of the way. Sticking a hunter's head is extremely effective, and shooting its back once the armor is gone kills quickly too. Usually once one hunter is killed the second will stop shooting, so focus all fire on one first. Overall it's just a war of attrition.
I got through fairly easy. I just finished my game a couple minutes ago. After ****ing up both of those Hunters, 'the heat' couldn't be turned off. btw, pyro is right. Hunters, as big and ****ing scary as they may be, put aside the brute strength and honorably let you fight their comrade. Love that implement as if it weren't there, I wouldn't have won that fight. Anyway! Do this, if you have any shotgun left, allow Emile to distract a Hunter and creep on it and shoot the *****. Next is simple do your best to parry his melee by running in one direction (I think right) just stay close enough for a shotty blast but far enough not to get mauled, he's pretty fast. If you run out there is a box just outside this area with **** tons of AR ammo. Rinse, repeat.
Obviously you know how to fight hunters and there is tips in this thread, But this is how it happened for me. Emile charged one hunter and I used my ghost(unlimited ammo also ramming hunters do nothing) to shoot it dead while it was distracted then 2nd hunter I just drove around shooting its back with my ghost and it died. Easy as pie
Where'd you get a ghost?! I had trouble with those hunters only Heroic, so Im hating to think what Legendary will be like. Once you get one the other will drop pretty soon.
I don't recall any hunters being on the last mission... Tank beats everything achievement is on Mission 9. You still have a full mission. Anyways... After you destroy the AA guns, you go up a hill and around a cliff along a path. You find one sniper tower and 3 ghosts which should be easy to handle. After that you approach a huge open area with two normal shade turrets, two plasma cannon shade turrets, and some revenants. Destroy all the shade turrets. If you can, snipe the driver off a revenant so that you can bring it forward to the next area. If not, immediately to the right by one of the shade turrets are two unused ghosts. I just played co-op last night and we brought forth two revenants to handle everyone by the hunters on that level. Either that or don't go underneath to deal with the hunters. Instead walk above. The AI will move Emile under and he'll fight them. You can then shoot them a few times in the back while they're dealing with him...
Ok, i dont know what people are talking about with the ghosts. I am on the misson Pillar of Autumn. And Emile is no where to be found..... I have no idea where he went. There is a door that im guess you go through, but it wont let me go through it i guess until i kill the hunters. I have only a shotgun and a concussion rifle and hologram. I can run back a ways and get aome diff weapons, only assult rifle and some plasma pistols. Not really weapons i can think of to kill hunters. And i am doing this completely alone. no help. Emile is a ***** that ran away somewhere. So i am just going to try this again for another hour or so. hopefully ill just get lucky, but i dont know
Try jumping through the window instead of going through the door. That's what I did for my legendary playthrough.
I ran in spamming my shotgun from behind, it takes hunters out fairly quickly. I get close enough so that they don't use their fuel rods but am still able to dodge their melees. EDIT: I actually had the same situation on Tip of the Spear after destroying the second AA gun and you have to fight a huge covie squad with your own marines. Kat decided to throw herself off a cliff. The marines became cannon fodder so the only weapons I had then was the assault rifle and a grenade launcher with minimal ammo. What I did was run around in circles while firing at the hunters. Keep moving fast enough in circles around them and jump around every once in a while if needed, keep firing and you'll get the job done.
I was surprised at how fast charged plasma rounds did the job. And you don't have to get them in their weak spots, just head on.
Man, just use the shotgun, get in their face and dodge the melees. It's not that hard. Every time they turn, shoot twice then dodge. Rinse and repeat for both hunters.
