So I received an error code on my 360 and it turns out that the hdd is gone. I have an old pro. I plan on buying a new hard drive and recovering all of my content over xbl, but my predicament is that all of my forge maps are on my old hard drive. Is there any way to transfer my old files to my new hard drive? Thanks

Wait, so is the hard drive not working at all?

if you uploaded any files to your FileShare then just download em again from that.

No, the hard drive is shot. I've forged 23 maps, so only a handful of them are on my file share. Since forge maps aren't xbl purchases, I can't recover them from an account recover. So my question is, is there anyway to extract them from my dead hard drive?

If you have a transfer cable and a new hard drive, try transferring the data from your old HDD to the new one. Couldn't hurt to try.
