Hi guys I wan't you to take a second and look at the halopedia page for Forging here. Yeah. It's a decent length and a nice mix of content, but totally the wrong material. It's filled with pre-launch speculation, pointless mini-games, and fun things to do with fusion coils. This page seems like it hasn't been updated since 2007, and Forge has evolved much beyond that. Now, as an avid Halopedian and aspiring ForgeHub regular (but excellent cartographer), I'd like to get some help on compiling images of maps that can represent the diversity and art of mapmaking in both aesthetic and competetive across Sandbox and Foundry. I'd also like to create a great section on map design philosophy and advanced work like interlocking and geomerging. So give me a hand and post me some sources and any advice you may have. If you know some wikia formatting though, don't be afraid to help it out yourself and again, thanks so much!
send me a list of things you'd like (such as interlocking, geomerging, spawns?) and any map you'd like (as to show they arnt just for sandbox) and i'll hook you up with some screenshots. i may have some links you'd like to look at if you are interested in writing about them (one being advanced guide to spawns) that you'd like to see. including the mechanism used
Glasgow, don't be a dipshit Well, other than finding the maps for pictures and theory, etc.. I could also write some very detailed stuff up about interlocking, geo-merging, ghosting, the works.
That's what I'm looking for! Now, while I would love to just copypasta away in those tutorial and featured map sections, wikis are completely public domain and I'm not sure you want your maps shown without credit (although you agree to it when you save it in forge). Also, some of it is not in the style of a wiki, whether that be humor or talking from a first person perspective so I would need new work. I'm thinking about having a section on 'Cartography Glitches' with subsections for Geo-merging, interlocking, and things like unlimited budget and map overload: each with a short explanation and tutorial. Now looking at our wiki I'm sure you can figure out what I mean by that, so feel free to send me anything at thecairocat@gmail.com
