I agree TSB. The voice acting is the main thing that threw me off of the game, but its so minute that I don't care. The sooner the game comes out the sooner I can get the damn demo off of my hard drive. Seems I have 500megs left on it now :(

I feel ya on that one.
I had to clear room just so it would fit in the first place.
Good thing I preordered it, but I probably won't have enough room for Mythic until the Demo is gone.

The game that I mention? You mean Halo Wars?
Almost all RTS' have stances and customisation. Those things set apart a strategy game and a 'bird's-eye-view-of-everything-game'. I could destroy this game some more if you really care.

Got totally swamped at hardest difficulty. Had two bases though and came back and owned them up with my MAC, Tanks, ODSTs and SPARTANs. Fun times.

I only played as Covenant once. It is amazing how different the two are, yet it always feels like the other side could use them better than you.

I prefer UNSC. Their units are not that expensive, and all based around the same amount of resources; unlike the Covenant who is quite costly with all their resources, while some units are quite cheap (Such as Royal Guard). Also, the buildings are easier to distinguish.

I get 2 bases, my main one being a supply and reactor horde, the secondary one being a mass army producer. I make a bit of every vehicle, as I casually build up defenses of the other one. Then, I wait for the enemy to attack my main base, and move my entire army of hard hitting vehicles to the undefended base. The only thing that can beat that is to make a scarab... which raped me once.

I'm going to love the game when it comes out. I just have the feeling I'll make an army of Scarabs like I did in Supreme Commander with Spiderbots. Halo in an RTS was most likely the best idea for ages.

Not too fond of the Covenant, although. They have alot of good units, but it takes alot of resources to just make anything, and if you screw up alot is lost. But, I only played for like 20 mnutes on Covanent before I was wiped out <.<

It teaches me not to play the hardest difficutly

I love how much fun can be had in only the demo seeing as it is just one map and 2 teams. Imagine the possibilities with several maps, 3v3, and 6 different teams.

Well, I'll make thousands of Locusts then!

You know, I actually want to make an entire army of elites or Grunts and send them off to battle

armies of grunts, when fully researched, can inflict massive massive damage... trust me.

Try restarting your xbox, and disconnecting from anything that might cause lag, i.e. Computer.

EDIT- TSB: Awesome. Totally doing that tomorrow. Have any good Covanent strategies?

for your main base, make a barracks thing, a reactor thing and fill the rest with the resource making structures. quickly take over that infinite crate supply thing and leave some jackals at it.

then take over that rebel base next to you and build your vehicle/air vehicle buildings on that one. i recommend building banshees and wraiths until you can afford a scarab. only one is necessary to win. dont send a scarab in solo though.

1 is overkill... I could not damage that thing at all, and I through a hella lot of resources against it.

But I agree with Blue, 1 mess up as Covenant all is lost. I attempted to do the same strategy I do as UNSC, but I failed. Covenant is about building up your resources, while carefully spending them on units so you can pressure the enemy. If you don't pressure the enemy, you are screwed for they will attack you because you are defenseless. However, if you build a large army and wait, then you will get alot of small things, but not any major heavy hitters.
That is why I like UNSC. You can quickly gather an army, or you can make some truly powerful units. I am playing right now to see what I like more: massive vehicle army or extremely powerful one.

you're just using the wrong units against it. additionally, you arent countering your opponents army with the right units for the job. There are specifics for each unit that counter other ones.

additionally, the prophets laser is highly effective against any unit when coupled with your units.
