not really, hunters get butchered before they can really do any damage to vehicles, IM JUST SAYIN THAT I THINK THE HUNTERS NEED TO BE MORE POWERFULL GOOD GOD PEOPLE
Thank you. After playing that match, I can't imagine how hard Legendary is going to be. :/ I'm excited though!
And I'm saying they are powerful enough. 1000$ worth of Hunters will own 1000$ worth of Vehicles, they will win. They will suffer more casulities against anti-infantry units while they will suffer nearly no casulities against anti-anything else.
You do know that Regret's blasts(his big beams that fall from the sky) cost money? So The Covenant spend more per attack then the UNSC do defending. Also I rarely MAC and favor ODST drop-offs instead.
I personally try to play the longest game possible. I was the marines i had like platoons of 5 marines and 2 flamethowers gaurding both of the ways they could get me i had 2 elephants a scorpion and a hornet and 3 spartans
... Did you ignore the context completely? If the UNSC decide to MAC Regret, they lose money. Simple as. If they upgrade the MAC, they lose more money and will never get it back if they continue to MAC him. Now, your statment is completly false about the Covenent. Who says I use Regret to attack the enemy using his cleansing? I use Regret as a meat shield and to teleprt slow units to the battlefield quicker. I lose no money for using Regret as he acts like a potential mobile army. Next, who says the Covenent use more money attacking then the UNSC defending? That's completly dependant on the skill of the player. I could use one Cobra to shell a base easily or the Covenent could send one Hunter to destroy the Cobra. Bam! I used more money to attack then he did to defend! Finally, your last statement makes no sense in the context of the conversation. Against Regret, a MAC is a sure fire way to kill him. ODST, however, are not. You start to get into too many variables once you include units. Regret could take all the ODSTs out by himself or maybe honor guards will kill them all before they can inflict too much damage on Regret.
has anyone else found heroic VERY easy to beat? I wasted my first army(6 marine bathces 3ish hogs) running head long into turrets+regret and still won easily afterwards.
I just watched a Halo Wars Cut Scene montage, and I have to say, there's some really heavy stuff in there. The montage didn't give anything major away; it was full or short cutscene snippets along with a great Halo Wars song. But the scale of events, the plot twists that are hinted at to come, and the drama are amazing. I don't know who the hell wrote the storyline, or who the hell worked to render this, but I love them. This was movie grade. Hopefully Halo Wars delivers on that. Does anyone want me to post a link to the video?
I love this game so much. I CANNOT wait for the full game. If Halo Wars TGIF's come to be, I want to be in all of them (even though I would miss one or two)
When playing against the Cov. it is important to note that the Prophets laser costs supplies. Now, the computer always beefs up a lot of supplies to account for the steep cost of things, which is why one moment they might seem defenseless, and the next have an army to take you out. So, it is important to keep them using supplies constantly so they can't expand. Now, Cov. immediately begins to produce masses of Honor Guards. These guys are horrible in large groups, since they are individual and not grouped. The most effective thing to use against them are air units since they cannot reach with their swords. So, when the game begins, skip the barracks, go straight for the airport. However, to speed time up, scout out crates with your warthog as you wait for things to build. Now, as soon as you get the chance, create 3 Hornets. Assuming that Cov. are still stuck with Guards and Prophet (scout with hog first to make sure) fly over your 3 Hornets, and have them attack the Guards. They are defenseless, so the prophet uses his cleansing beam attack. Jump back to your base, and start building 3 more Hornets. Go back to your current Hornets, and heal them. This will draw things out a bit longer. When your hornets are done, release them over there again. Now, after 2 times begin building your army. What did you just do? You forced the Cov. to deplete their resources on your Hornets with the Prophet's beam, as you built up plenty of supplies to amass a stronger army of your choosing. Yes, you wasted 6 hornets, but they are cheap. In the end, you did way more damage to them than to yourself.
I'm talking about the computer Covenant, they cleanse all the time. When I said The Covenant spend more money attacking then UNSC defending I was speaking of when Regret attacks I MAC him. But you had a good point that it takes 2 mac rounds and it costs money to upgrade. I said I use Odst's over Mac's because I just love them Odst's! Even if I lose.
I am trying the game on Heroic and I keep getting raped. I am playing as the UNSC and they just magically obtain huge amounts of units.
On heroic, I usually just have enough to fend them off... then i rebuild as much as i can before the next attack, and repeat. I cant seem to keep them off my balls long enough to get an upper hand.
