Halo 4 is almost here! (YAY!) So to celebrate, i've decided to make a tournament...for Reach. The tournament will begin on the 20th of October, giving you plenty of time. It will end on the 3rd of November, 3 day before Halo 4's release. That means a fortnight of halo tournamentiness.... yeah, that's a word now. Anyway, the tournament will consist of many different gametypes and maps, from vanillas like slayer on swordbase, to customs like jump rope....on jump rope. No matter what your strengths and weaknesses are, there will always be some games you'll do good in, and others that will make me think i'm playing with a fish tied to molten rocks on mars hanging from a 70ft cliff above a volcano with no water for the poor little fishy who's lost one of it's fins.........yeah... Where was i? oh, yeah. If you want to take part, just leave your gt below. You should also leave the time that you are usually on too. Also, you can recommend gametypes and maps. If you have any maps or gametypes or maps you want us to use, just upload them to your fileshare, and tell me the name of the map/gametype, and you're gt. For maps, you need to tell me what gametype is needed for it and vice-versa. We'll test it, and if it's good, we'll use it! In games/ game lobbies If you have been chosen to be the host, make sure you play the selected maps/gametypes, or it won't count. Anyone who constantly delays the countdown, should be kicked. Their score will count as 0 for that round. Be nice to people. If you get killed, don't just scream down the mic at them telling them to f*** off, even if they 'cheated'. If you suspect someone of cheating (e.g. killing people in an achievement horse), report them to me by sending me a message with the 'cheater's' gt. During score calculation, i will check out the video on theatre to see if his/her score should be nullified. All players should be in the same party chat, but they aren't required to talk, if they do not wish too. In team games, a separate party should be used per team. After the game ends, if i am not in the game, one of the players in-game should upload the video of the game to their fileshare for accurate score-calculating. It's not just about the amount of kills, everything else counts too. I MAY also upload videos to youtube of the games, but that is undecided. Practice first! This tournament will help you improve your skills, so you haven't completely forgotten how to play when halo 4 comes out and you've been left behind throwing grenades at mirrors. But you should also practice for the tournament. I will be posting up the matches and the maps/gametypes you will be playing before they actually happen, so you can practice. For any custom gametypes/maps, i will post the gt who made it, so you can download it from their fileshare. The first match listings will be posted on the 13th of October, but you have until the 17th to sign up. However, you can still post your game maps and types right through the tournament, as even if we don't use it, other people can still download it and play it. If You're Busy As i said earlier, you should post the time you are usually on, so this doesn't happen, but not everyone's psychic, things change. You're auntie might go into labour an hour before your game. If you can't make a game that you are supposed to be playing, send me a message, either on here, or preferably, on xbox. That way, we can switch you with another player who's on reserve. For Semi-Finals and Finals, you must give me an hours notice if you aren't going to make it, so i can postpone the match to a later, more suitable time that fits everyone. Please be aware, that if you leave it too late to message me, you may be disqualified from that round. Extra notes Although i will be playing in some matches, my score will not be recorded. I am not part of the tournament and will only be playing to monitor the game...and to have fun too. I may also just be playing to balance up teams too, if for some reason it's a 8v7 game. My gt is laxynd ABYX, in case you need it for some reason. The date that the tournament ends may change depending on how many people are participating in the tournament. The tournament will end on November 5th at the LATEST.
You plan to pull off a tournament in two weeks and haven't specified any details? Does anyone want to make bets on this failing/how long it will take to fail?
