Halo Timeline Seeing as there is much confusion about when books and games from the Halo franchise take place, so, instead of Halo Wars Timeline, Use mine to find when the Battle Rifle was first used. Forerunner Halo: The Forerunner Trilogy Super Soldier: Formation of the enemy Halo Legends: Duel ---- Halo Legends: Homecomeing Humble Beginnings Halo: Contact Harvest ---- Halo Wars ---- Halo: The Cole Protocol The War rages on Halo: The Fall of Reach ---- Halo CE (The Flood) ---- Halo: First Strike (Reach) Halo Halo 2 ---- Halo 3: ODST ---- Halo (The Movie) ---- Halo 3 _________________________________________________________ Phew... Now, that the timeline is done, time to explain the 5 sections of Halo. _________________________________________________________ Forerunner The Forerunners, after the loss of Precursors, were born. Technologically advanced by thousands of years, the Forerunners follow in the footsteps of their ancestors. Super Soldier: Formation of the enemy The Covenant, the main enemy in the Human-Covenant War, were formed from a war between the Prophets and Elites. This war, which was years long, caused many casualties to each side, came down to a stalement, and after an agreement between these two races, the Covenant was formed. They roamed the planets in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, looking for other races to draft into the Covenant, the first being the loyal Grunts. Hundreds of years later, after the Covenant army had been assembled, the UNSC started the Orion project, which consisted of the 3 SPARTAN Projects, most notably the supersoldiers who never seem to die, SPARTAN II's. These warriors have been trained to be compatible with every UNSC technique, technology and manuver, learning about anything they haven't trained for, these soldiers can truly be called, the Ultimate Killing Machines. Humble Beginnings A lone UNSC ship falls deep into space, straight from Slipspace, a Covenant Frigate, controlled by Jackals, came across the ship and boarded the craft. The captains of the UNSC ship had a minor skirmish with the Jackals on a different ship, which was set for Insurrectionists, but ended up being four Jackals. Avery Johnson and Nolan Byrne were the two to confront the Jackals. Byrne wounded one of the Jackals, but was slashed by anoter Jackal armed with a blade. Johnson killed the Jackal with the blade, and the other wounded one with a Prototype BR55, and tended to Nolan's wounds. the other Jackal retreated back to it's ship, but was followed and killed by Johnson. This resulted in the starting battle of the Human-Covenant War, the Battle of Harvest. Info from Halopedia, the Halo series, along with the novels. I take no credit whatsoever in creating the Halo franchise, nor do I in the info.
You should get your information from halo.wikia.com because people often contribute to articles, and edit them thoroughly. I also spotted a flaw in your timeline... The Elites and Prophets were at war for several years, and it came down to a stalemate, (won't get into much detail) so they came to an agreement and formed an Alliance, or the Covenant. Gradually, more species were brought into the Covenant, either by force or their own will, and possibly after hundreds of years, they then found the Humans.
I do get my info from Halo.wikia.com (or as it's named, Halopedia), the books discuss mostly about the SPARTANs I's, II's and III's. The Forerunner trilogy isn't out yet, so there isn't much info other than that the Forerunners were born 100,000 years ago, after the Precursors. And about the Prophet Elite war, I know that they drafted more species into the Covenant, or the species joined the Covenant themeselves. I'll just put that in there... If you find anymore flaws, tell me and I'll fix them. Plus, i wouldn't know of the Halo: Legends episodes without Halopedia. I'll edit this later, when I get enough time and info to finish it.
