Nah, knowing Bungie everything will be perfectly balanced. Its probably is not as overpowering as some people may think. Just remember in the sky, there is not much cover. You can be a target just as well for a sniper.
Well when you think about it, you give up camo or sprinting, or overshields (the guy blocking the ghost was activating OS), etc so you can fly. That is like giving up Camo, or something like a bubble shield for a grav lift on Halo 3...
Yeah, I guess Bungie would do their best to keep it balanced. I just hate the thought of having to look up whenever I go outside into the open.
I'd say it'd be for stopping vehicles. The spartan punches the ground which sends out a shock wave causing all vehicles in the area to be sent off course.
You would think they put in the bubble shield type thing for the people who get splattered by mongeese. "OH! A MONGOOSE,RUN! IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!"
IGN is also filled with a bunch of idiots, to be honest. Most of their videos are chopped full of misinterpretations
urrite anyways, yea- when you look at it again, it doesn't look like OS. I also hope that armor abilities aren't based on basic armor. Using Halo 3 as an example, I wouldn't want the camo for having Mark V helmet because I just like the look of the helmet, but wouldn't want to wear an ugly helmet for the perk that I want. It will probably be like jetpacks are just a selection for the armor on your back, but if it isn't-damn...
Every single spartan had the same armor, and they used many different armor abilities. So no it wont work like that.
Well, think of it this way. In Forge, there could be endless possibilities with the jetpacks. I'm already thinking of an epic vertical combat map!
Do you guys think an OS ability will be the cheapest thing ever? In the middle of a... DMR battle, some guy uses OS and you just have no chance. Will you still get the temporary invincibility, or will you only be able to use it with full shields?
Im sure it has a long recharge and pretty short duration. Don't worry about it, im sure it'll be balanced.
I bet you unlock different abilities as your rank increases. The jet pack would be one of the last you unlock.
Well the good thing about the overshield power is that it might actually make people work together more so they can kill the guy in case he does have the OS ability.
Armor abilities are epic. Reach is epic. I think that I might not play another game for a looooooooong time after it comes out.
HIGHLY doubt you'll have to unlock them. the influences they have on MM are far too great to justify some players having access to them and others not. That's like unlocking the Sniper Rifle for some but others still can't use it. Won't happen.
