Halo Reach Multiplayer Trailer

    I'm sort of wondering about the new way they're doing the assassinations. It seems like it takes about 2 or 3 seconds to complete the animation. Are you vulnerable during this time? Did Bungie create this sequence in order to make the one-hit-kill power of assassinations more risky to use?

    Definitely had some influence from other games I.E. rolling, and reticle bloom.

    I just cant wait!

    I will be very disappointed if you can't disable armor abilities (and weapon loadouts) in custom games. And I'll be similarly upset if you can't set specific armor abilities for entire teams in custom games. For example, instead of the humans in infection games having their own unique armor abilities, such as the jet pack, I would like to be able to set it so that ALL humans have only the sprint ability, or none at all.

    Man, there's enough trolling on Bnet right now to fill the gap below the Golden Gate Bridge....

    Jetpacks look awesome. I have no ideas how it'll help, but it could make life quite fun. I'm hoping they don't limit Elites to Invasion &/or Spartans vs. Elites, because I'm fairly sick of seeing spartans everywhere online.

    Ya i saw that too, does that mean phantom in mulitplayer or was that just a teaser clip from the campaign??

    CoD/Halo hybrid? I saw a lot more aspects from other games in there. In fact, the only thing I saw similar to CoD was sprinting, and a lot of games have that... I just hope they can still pull off a competitive feel rather than the more casual multiplayer of Red Faction Guerrilla, etc. But if anyone can do it, Bungie can.

    Could it be dropping off Covenant a'la ODST's Firefight?

    Imagine a 4 player Co-op Campaign, Forge, Customs, Saved film, existing Multiplayer modes, new Multiplayer modes, aaaannnnddd Firefight!?!?!

    Holy ****ing win.

    I don't know a single shooter WITHOUT sprinting and crouching.

    I like how they made the mini-animations flow, such as assassinations, it's alot like Prototype how they flow, and the way they incorporate the player model rather then using the default Spartan/Elite model with the Assault Rifle considering the detail of the animation, that's alot like how BioWare does things.


    I think "Invasion" is a firefight-style gametype.

    The popular theory is that in invasion one team is elites, the other spartans. Spartans are defending something, elites are dropped in on phantoms to destroy/take the objectives. I guess after 2 or so rounds they switch sides(spartans become elites, vice versa)

    I have sticky hands.

    Backpack... Mmmmm loved that game.

    Anyways, man I need new pants the vid was amazingly epic with **** cranked to 11 live concert with raptors fly jets. That's how epic it was.

    So I guess it wasn't a leak, w/e no damage done amirite?

    Did anyone else notice the elites doing rolls? :O

    If you look closely at the covenant lock on rocket weapon, you'll notice it fires 3 consecutive shots. Secret weapon sound remind you of anything?

    Also, look here. There are 9 red dots, which would mean there are at least 9 people on the other team. Assuming these are even teams, that's two extra people in a game (18 total) :D

    Oh, and last thing. To the bottom right of the radar, there's a location (e.g CIC Hall) it changes constantly. I think it tells you the area you're in and constantly updates. Snazzy.

    Yeah thinking about it now, could it be? Bungie took asset and made it a gametype???? Basically Firefight with real players not AI.

    ah yeah, I've seen this before on Shadowrun. If you press up on the D-pad in that game, the game automatically sends an audio message in-game to the rest of your team, saying how many enemy teammates you see and in which room they are located (general location, not exact locations). It's good to see that Bungie realized what a good idea this was =D

    • new assassination move looks epic.

    • ???

    • Callouts located in bottom left corner of screen next to radar.
    Spartans vs. Elites 1:07-1:14
    • spartans vs elites gametype?
    • new gametype. Objective: destroy generators.
    • Banshee looks somewhat smaller or at least the wings do.
    The Arena 1:15-1:34
    • more pistol action.
    • new covenent weapon at 1:17, might be needle rifle though.
    • energy sword is back.
    • huge epic battle at end to finish off the trailer.
    Overall, the greatest multiplayer trailer ever.
    EDIT: i think in head hunter everyone starts with a single "skull" and when you kill someone you can pick up there "skulls". So as the game progresses the player will gather or lose more and more skulls, and the player with the most "skulls" will win.

    Okay I'm dun.

    Could duckman620's post get added to the original post? And at 23 seconds theres a armor ability that makes the player invulnerable or something. It really looks epICOMGAAHHG REACH REACH OMGAAHHHHH!!!!. Ahem, I gotta get a hold of myself.
