I think they mean Reach "falls in 2010".... as in saying you'll play through the Fall of Reach in 2010. Either way big games tend to come out in the fall just before the holiday season.
FTW!!! Also, I really think that the recon looks ugly on that one guy. Watching the Halo:Reach trailer now.. EDIT: Not as great as I would have expected, but it does leave me wanting more.
i think that it means that Reach will fall in the year 2010 because it seems a long way off, im thinking its going to be christmas rather than fall. im really intrigued by reach because your campaign will be a losing battle
Yeah, they tend to say things like "Falls" and "Drops" when they're talking about the time of availability. Seeing as Bungie weirdly words everything, it wouldn't surprise me if they worded it Falls 2010. They almost never mispell something, its typically for a reason...
I am very excited about this one. I can't wait to learn about it as Bungie allows. There is no doubt in my mind that the story (Campaign) will be epic. Halo's Multiplayer is already great, imo, but let's see if they can improve it. Also, I can't wait to see Forge. Hopefully, it will be epic.
Uhh spartan 259? Were there even that many spartans during that time? Or could they possibly be saying spartan 2-59. so he's still a spartan 2, and number 59.
Spartan Possibilties: From Left to Right Sam - The Biggest Spartan Kelly - Smallest and Fastest Spartan John (Master Chief) - Looks Epic and has BR Fred - Melee Expert (He's holding a knife) Linda - The Sniper A couple things. Sam gets killed during the first fight with the Covenant when the Spartans board a Covenant Ship. When the Battle of Reach begin, John and Linda get sent to destroy the Nav Data on Mac Gun while Kelly and Fred are sent to the ground to defend the Mac Gun's Power Source.
You know what? I just realized that this actually makes sense. They don't look like they're wearing MJLONIR, but your theory does make sense. AND from what I think this is going to be the story of the spartans training up to the events at Reach, so these story characters could still be included, because they were still a major part of everything before, even though Sam dies during the first encounter with the covenant.
I would be thrilled if it was the retelling of the Fall of Reach novel through a third or first person shooter experience. That would simply be amazing. It would really be the only Halo game to give you an accurate sense of desperation the human race is facing. I'm far more excited about this story line than ODST. Hands down.
i think that the person on the left is actualy somone in MJOLNIR mark IV armor, as the trainers used on the spartans in the book. the book says that the armor had miniguns mounted on it, and if you look at the armor in the picture you can see the minigun.
Yeah, but that armor was tethered to a power source. I doubt it'd be Gremlin armor as well... I think the person is just huge.
Yeah, the person with Recon is a girl, so everything would look bigger on her. Oh, and this discussion is about Reach, not ODST. Anyway, I really want to know what the Multiplayer will be like. Will it have a class system? Will it support more than 16 players? Will it be different than Halo 3's Multiplayer? And another thing I'm wondering is if it will have it's own enhanced version of Forge...
Based on the one image we've been given, it looks like they're hinting towards a class based game. Maybe it's their response to the Call of Duty Series.
What I love most about the announcement is how the people who dodn't believe it don't even bother to factcheck. It is on B.net, and was announced as a Bungie game at E3. Okay, onto the real topic: Judging by the picture, it might be class-based. Hopefully, we'll see increased multiplayer support, allowing games with less lag and larger numbers of players. Additionally, I'm hoping we'll see a dropin/out system implemented, as that is one of the few common features of the FPS genre that Halo really needs. And do I dare say it? Maybe we'll get an exp system that is actually based off of ability, rather than time available and the skill of teammates. One last bit to hope for: A full-fledged, RTS inspired map editor. A real map editor, with terraforming, elevation adjustment, a water tool and invisible barrier placement, as well as different terrain skins and a much larger array of placeable items.
Well, I have changed the front page a few times. Before hand it was reporting a rumour, which people denied (probably without checking the facts ). The networking/ multiplayer should be improved, third time lucky and all that A map editor like that might be difficult on the console, but I'd love to see it nonetheless
