Loudouts won't ruin Halo. They will probably make a playlist for old school gamers that want equality in their spawns.
I like this. If anything, this provides more equality in spawns. Nothing is worse than being spawn camped by BRs and snipers and you always get ARs.
Shotgun + Magnum from spawn? Looks like I might die LESS! (For reference, If i lost the shotgun by death, I cant help myself but flock to the scene of the crime to retrieve my precious)
I'm not sure, but I think a shotgun would qualify as a power weapon (unless they toned it down). Generally I think it will work like this: Jetpack: Assault Rifle+Magnum Sprint: Assault Rifle+Magnum Camo: DMR+Magnum Lockdown: DMR+Magnum Oh I didn't even notice they had examples of loadouts:
Reach is expanding much more that Halo 3 did. For instance, they said the Assault Rifle was going to focus more on accuracy this time.
They said something about the bullets staying within the reticle and there are a few things about keeping it less powerful. Also note that it isn't too overpowering because it would probably be balanced by most of the longer range weapons. Armor Abilities will also make it harder to use probably.
I'm just happy the halo game is changing yet again. Each new game has had something new for me to play or tinker with. Time to embrace change, cause it looks like its going to be one hell of a ride.
I just hope that in regular TS all load-outs will have the same weapons, but custom games just got a lot awsm-er
Remember the loadouts wont stay the same for every playlist and even gametypes. On small maps, like Gaurdian, the shotgun was a power weapon. On sandtrap and standoff, it wasn't. For the small maps, CQC maps, they could just have a loadout lacking the shotgun and place it in the center of the map. Bungie knows balance.
EA did great balancing with BC2. Only unbalanced thing is the shotgun with 12 Gauge. I abuse this balancing. But yes, Bungie is definitely up there. Minus the BR of course, that was a fallacy.
It's a lot easier to balance rock/paper/scissors classes than it is to balance weapon pickups though. But BF games have always been very well balanced.
Well, i would think its harder to balance classes as those as people interact alot more in battlefield. They would need to balance for certain combinations of people and how they interact. For instance, how long should the defibrillator recharge be? How long after someone is revived can they not shoot?
Yes they did, I think everyone who plays MW2 should move onto BC2. Anyways, how do you think customs will be after seeing this new update? Any thoughts?
I think customs are going to be amazing. Not only can you set the loadout pregame (Grenade launcher, jet packs: yes please) but knowing bungie's love for customs it will be even more customizable than Halo 3 was.
Yep, bungie always makes the next game better than the last in my opinion. With the exception of ODST
I wanna make a map with tons of floaty platforms for a gametype where all the load-outs have jetpacks. How about some of these new weapons? Plasma Repeater and Focus Rifle should be awesome, and we've all seen the Plasma Launcher awesomeness in action. I wonder if there will be more armor abilities than just lock, jetpack, AC, evade, and sprint. And yes, Bungie is very good at balancing, and yes, BC2 is very well balanced, I wish I could say the same for MW2...
I've seen alot of people thinking loadouts will be negative to Reach or will make it like Call of Duty. I disagree. Loadouts aren't starting you out with power weapons, just different weapons that are usually scattered around the map, generally ones that are closer to the bases anyways, such as Battle Rifles, Shotguns, Brute Shots, Magnums, ect. One way of looking at it is that loadouts will actually speed up gameplay, since instead of spawning and looking for that shotgun or Brute Shot to take out that Ghost or camper, you can spawn with it and deal with the problem faster. I'm fairly sure this is beneficial for gameplay. Also, the classes seem balanced based on what Bungie has revealed. Each class can potentially take out another class, but then is more susceptible to another class. Loadouts will make Reach better.
