In invasion, bungie made the fatal flaw of an armory... every time as an elite I shadow into there, grab rockets and a sniper and easily own the area.... Also vehicles are way too easy to destroy for two reasons, 1) simple weapons kill it fast, 2) too many power weapons Its almost impossible to get to the first area as an elite, but once two or three are there, its over if the elites are relatively good. second area I don't like the immediate spawn of the grenade launcher, spartans just camp and wait for it third segment is boring if the vehicles are eliminated quickly (the third segment was supposed to be based around vehicles and strategizing to eliminate them, not be able to spam and destroy) invasion slayer needs mongeese on boneyard...
Both armories are fail. I steal from both. As a spartan, if we lost the first base, i always walk out with plasma launcher and focus rifle in hand.
I was just tired and irritable yesterday. If you had played with me today, you would have seen the other side of things.
odd day today... I saw Rifte Gifle in a game early today and now about 30 minutes ago i got matched up with Metawaddledee EDIT: no one ever answered my question.. Why isn't there generator defense in the beta?
Network Test 1, a.k.a. Generator Defense, comes out Friday, May 14th, most likely at 11:00 AM PDT. Source: Bungie.net : Halo Reach.
I was reading some of the ripped strings from the reach beta, and some of them definitely represent firefight (e.g. hero, reinforcements, new round, five enemies remaining, ect.) Also, from the infection strings, one of them is "Save zone moved" perhaps indicating that infection will finally have moving go to points or even some kind of checkpoint? Don't think links for this are allowed though, sorry.
Just been round to a friends and played some invasion slayer. WOW. Really a fan of this and actually enjoyed being a elite rather than a spartan. Can't wait to play invasion slayer on some new maps in the fall.
I just found a line in the stigs that is saying: 'Could not create object, too many on Map' ... FORGE IS IN REACH!!! No, just kidding, but the sentance is really there, so I hope it's a Halo3 left over like the line about the Battle Riffle.
Anyone else notice the great new features that they've added? The search feature, even players without a bungie.net account can just search a game and game-type that they would like to play, and it pops up! You can even search the author. Not too mention bungie added a 'created by' and a 'modified by' details onto all files, so no more stealing maps. They really are just adding in those tiny details that make the game so much better.
