All I got out of that is you're not giving Armour Lock enough love. Did I mention I like Armour Lock? It's the solution to all your problems. Can't dodge a grenade? Armour Lock! Two enemies all up in your grill? Armour Lock! DMR feels underpowered? Armour Lock! Girlfriend cheating on you? Armour Lock! I'm thinking Sprint could do with the ability to make you run faster in whatever direction you push the stick though...That would make it way more handy. At the moment I consider it one of the weakest (and most boring) AAs. Oh yeah....Armour Lock!
I dunno, sprint is my most used ability. It comes in handy in so many situations. I haven't had good enough luck using armor lock to warrant using it all the time. 1) Sprint: Get in, get out, get on your way 2) Jetpack: ZOOOOOOM 3) Armor lock: Don't tase me bro! 4) Camo: Be annoying on radar and seen when you run, also deaf Though evade is by a wide margin the greatest perk.
I don't know if this has been up for discussion in this thread, sorry if its old 'news'. I'm sseing a lot of Forging potential in Reach, if you take a look at Sword Base (I don't know about other map, since I only got about 10 games so far). If you play 1 Flag, you will notice some thngs are chaged on the map and I hope every of the chages are made in Forge. the lifts are blocked the lifts don't work but they aren't blocked the old 'Bungie Forged Maps'-Style. The fenced are perfectly geomerged into the walls and are 'tilted' sometimes (Green Lift). I hope this was made in Forge, because if it was, AutoGeomerge would be in Forge, if the fence oibjects don't wok like doors on Foundry, as well as the abilitly to swich off lifts and tilt objects by degree.
I suspect the fences are similar to the doors of Halo 3's system, at least until I hear about an auto geomerge system.
im thinking an auto ghost merge, but combined with a snap and a separate, one to level and to separate (lol) that way pretty much anything can be forged.
I agree with MickRaider, evade is awesome. It is fun evading up to someone and than pull out the energy sword and kill then.
....And they can't care about both? The texture artists and the game programmers are different people.
Taking into account the recent ecenomic crisis and their eagerness to jump into bed with Activision, you could be wrong there.
I thought ground pounding would make you look really daft but it does make you feel awesome when you do it then get a kill when coming out of it!
I <3 the plasma launcher sooo much. Just sticking the guy 2 or 3 times and then watching as ha spends the next .5 seconds in horror and then BOOM. What's even more satisfying is when you can get the stick across the map, just walk away and wait for the kill. Best gun evarrrr ) Oh, and dmr=secks It's also good to see the plasma weapons get a boost. I'll take a plasma repeater over the AR any day
While using the sprint AA, pick up the flag, walk, double tap the AA button, quickly pick upthe flag and repeat. This a quick way of juggling that actually works.
Stockpile's annoying. There's always some **** that sits in your own team's spawn and picks up and drops the flags you captured to get the points. They don't count for anything, but it's annoying as.
this has been mentioned on the home page and they plan on sorting it out in time for the full version of reach.
The Plasma Launcher is definitely my new favorite weapon. Everytime I play One Flag on Sword Base Offense, I jetpack down to the middle bridge just to get it and kill people going for the Sniper. Works every time and feels so satisfying. I also like the diversity in weapons in this game compared to previous Halos. Especially on Sword Base. I rarely use a DMR or Needle Rifle on that map because of how much I love using the Plasma Repeater and Plasma Pistol instead.
