Boy it's been a long time since I posted here. Breaking news! The Halo Movie was dropped by two certain Hollywood idiots named Neill Blomkamp and Peter Jackson, but might be picked up by the man behind Jaws, E.T., Indiana Jones, Saving Private Ryan and Transformers, Steven Spielberg. Sources say he was amazed by writer Stuart Beattie's script on the Halo Movie, which is rumored to be set on Reach, during it's siege by the Covenant. Keep in mind that Mr. Spielberg is still in active negotiations with Microsoft to win a contract for producing the movie, and still has yet to choose a director. that would be cool. it would also give me some more halo cinamatic adventures to watch, with halo: ledgends coming out in 2010-2011. hopefully its in 3d. that would be epic.
Hopefully he doesn't just make it into a Transformers 3 with no plot, structure, or cinematic value besides the CGI.
If you look at all the other movies this might be a good thing... True, I'd hate for it to turn into the new Transformers movie, but a lot of the other movies he's produced have been great.
Peter Jackson might have been better at making the Halo creatures, but Speilbergs story will always be better. If only they teamed up.
Spielberg + Halo = infinite amounts of awesome. I'm still not completely sold on the idea of a Halo movie but if those rumors turn out to be true, oh god.
eh.....................Michael Bay made Transformers...........where the **** did you pull Stevie from? The script might have been scrapped but I remember seeing a piece of the script for Halo on some website, Latino Review or something. It also had the first quarter of the Gears movie. But what I really thought about Landfall, was it reminded me of the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan. The style of it. So with Stevie at helm it would be awesome. But now I am worrying about your reliability because you believed he directed Transformers.
I hope they don't screw it up, like how they did with terminator. It was so simple at first, then they added in like, spirits, and religious ****, and robots that think they're human.
That "****" was a 3 piece try at how a Halo movie would look. It is completely different from the Halo Movie. Considering they have all the different scenes of the movie then they make compact it all together into the whole movie, it cant possibly be the Halo movie. Sorry if you think Im starting to sound like a whining *****.
Neil blomkamp and peter jackson didn't abandon it, they were working hard on it, the former said for 5 months it felt like 24-hour work days, so dont call them idiots. Microsoft pulled the rug out.
You never said produce, I said direct. That isnt really the same considering he wasnt the boss. But nevertheless he has credits on it.
I have no doubt that if there's a Halo movie, it'll have a weak story and the movie'll rely on the big explosions and ****. Doubt we'll see a Halo movie in the near future. Personally, I don't really want to either.
It'd be cool if they did the entire movie in cg animation. Like how they do the Final Fantasy movies. I just cant think in my mind a realistic looking grunt, doesnt seem right, although an entire cg movie is unlikely just a thought. And whats is Halo:Legends? NVM-A halo anime? could be good PS-GIJoe did suck, special effects overload destroyed it for me. High hopes for D9
