I've been making me a lot of maps, but today when I went to go work on them they were gone! Every single map I had as a local file was missing. I turned the console off and then on, and then I could see them again, but when I went in to edit it, while it was loading it gave me a message saying I had been signed out. It dropped me to the main menu, and went I went back to forge, the maps were gone again. I have repeated this and it happened again in the same manner. Reboot, they are there, it says it signs me out, and then they are gone again. What is going on?! How do I keep my maps?
This is a weird glitch on MCC that I can't believe they haven't patched yet. Your maps aren't gone, just give it a little bit and they should be there. This is so strange
I gotta wait for a patch?! F***, that ain't gonna happen; 343 still hasn't patched Halo 4's CTF rules. You say I just need to wait and they will be there. One, how long do I have to wait, and is there anything I can do that might get things back on track? Two, will I lose anything permanently if I start making other files? If, for example, I grab a copy of the map from theater or recent history or from my uploaded files, will doing this cause any problems? Or will I later just find two copies of the file on my system? I mean, I could just upload incomplete maps each day to make sure I have them, but I don't want to corrupt my files or anything.
Nah you don't gotta wait for a patch. I have no idea how long this will take, varies from person to person. Lasted about a day once for me, worked after a hard reset for a friend. Pretty sure that working off of a download (such as from history or file share) will create another file and all will be well That's what I did anyway and I don't remember any issues afterwards.
It's been three days and I've done couple hard resets on the xbox, and my files are still not available, even though they exist in the system memory. 343 always finds new ways to disappoint me.
