Good morning, ForgeHub Crew. Since the newest update is set and working, I know that this site will get more traffic, and Halo: MCC will get more players. With that said, I wanted to get the attention of those that are still interested in playing some good competitive Halo custom matches on the regular (weekly) basis. Now, I know that most people did not like Halo 4, but Halo 4 did present a great gametype, called Ricochet. If you do not know what Ricochet is, I will give a quick summary: Ricochet is a 4v4 gametype that is similar to "grifball", but with guns, instead of hammers and swords. The map (usually symmetric) has 2 goals and 3 ball spawns. The objective is just like any other sport you have seen on TV; get the ball in the opponent's goal. Throwing the ball in is worth 20 points, and running the ball into the goal is worth 50 points. The original way to play Ricochet is a 12-15 min game with 200 points as the total amount of points needed to win. My team and I loved Ricochet so much, that it ended up being the only game we would play on Halo 4 for a while. We started to bump into the same teams on a daily basis, and decided that it was time to start playing Ricochet in custom matches with a more competitive edge. If you would like to see an example of how a Ricochet custom match works, check out the video below: So now Halo: MCC is here, and they brought Ricochet into H2A (and Halo 4). Our team, BBS (Band of Brothers & Sisters), will be hosting lobbies, and keeping everything fun and balanced. Here is how a lobby of ours is setup: - All players will go on the green team (easy on the eyes for the captains) . - 2 players will be selected as captain at random. - The host (myself) will pick a number from 1 to 10, and the captains will take a guess. - The captain that selects the number closest to the Host's number will select players first, "classy style". -- Classy Style = Selecting players for the enemy team. - On the next team selection, the captains will be from the winning team, to maintain balance. - Once we start to see close matches, teams are considered balanced. The team captains must agree if they would like to play again with the same teams. - Games will be 2 rounds, 6 min. each round, unlimited points, and +1 point per assist on a goal. My team (BBS) and I are always looking for teams to play against and new friends to make, so let us know if you are interested. Thank you and have a great day, FRY
